Thanks to Droopy49 for sending this one.
Pours with a clear medium amber body under a huge, creamy off white ehad.
Flowery grapefruit aroma.
The flavor is moderately sweet with a heavy bitterness that overpowers the malt. Bitter from start to finish. This has the hops, but it’s a bit out of balance without more underlying malt flavors coming through. Sven (229) - Lancaster, California, USA - JUN 20, 2006
Ouch! This hurts! Not in a hot, alcohol burn kind of way but more in an acid reflux kind of way. I didn’t even know I had acid reflux. Guess I do now. Thanks Moylans! Seriously, this is one hoppy mutha. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - JUN 18, 2006
Bottle. Deep orange in color with a nice rocky white head. Piney hoppy aroma. West coast hops. Great. Malty and hoppy flavor. Fruity piney hoppy hops. Caramel notes. Finish is bitter. Nice hop bitterness. Smooth. Very drinkable. Full bodied. Sweet. Very nice. Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - JUN 18, 2006
Bomber. One of those OMFG aromas that has West Coast all over it. Just a beautiful beer when poured into a Stella goblet. The name leads you to believe this is going to be a real hopsickle and it stands up to the hype. That takes real balls and I respect that. This is a real tongue buckler and a great IIPA. UPDATED: JUN 19, 2006 Nose is sweet, citrusy and very hoppy, wonderful! Hazy amber body with a tiny off-white head; Sweet mixed with hoppy flavor and a nice hoopy bite to the finish. The ale is super hoppy without being super bitter!

I was very impressed by this brew, very hoppy and smooth. It had a nice aroma, of citrus and hops and flavor was really nice! I love hoppy beers and this will be on top of my list. Kevster (344) - Bradenton, Florida, USA - JUN 17, 2006
Cask-conditioned 6/9 @ The San Diego Real Ale Festival (Pizza Port, Carlsbad). Pours a honey color with a fully lasting white head. Aroma is very hoppy with hints of citrus and pine. Flavor is sweet leaving a dry hoppy finish. Hop Heads will love this one! sloth (2981) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - JUN 17, 2006
Medium statured head, retention is good, lace is thick, coating and lasting. Hazey amber hued ale. Lucious hop nose, citrus, pine with some light metallic notes too boot. Body is med/full, a touch oily, resiny with a medium acidity. Hops up front in the middle and end! Lotsa pine, citrus, melon with notes of honey and mint. Just a dusting of caramel malts under the rather large hop blanket. Dry, hoppy finish and one helluva bite! Now thats one big DIPA!! love it! Cliff, you are the man! Thanks buddy!! Whoa!!! talk about hops, right from the first hiss. Some citrus, pine, Sweetness. oily on the lips. Great brew! I couldn’t do it everyday though! madcow75 (426) - Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 14, 2006
Bottle. Pours cloudy copper with a medium off white head. WOW, big hops, aroma is filled with grapefruit. This may be the hoppiest aroma I have encountered. Flavor is more of the same, grapefruit, maybe some other citrus as well, but man this is bitter all the way through and it lingers for quite a while. Medium body and this is a little harsher than I would care for, but overall very good.
