This isn’t as strong a brew as the name might imply. It pours out as a brown brew with an aroma of nuts and sweet fruit. The taste has a sweet malt flavor. I was hoping for a bit more from this brew.

Bottle: Very nice aroma of caramel, toffee, and light chocolate. Pours a dark transparent reddish-brown with a quickly diminishing off-white head. Flavor is buttery caramel, brown sugar, and light toffee. Flavors are not as strong as the great aroma would indicate. A light nuttiness comes in the finish a lingers a little in the aftertaste. Good but not great like I was hoping after the aroma.

Dark and has a small head. The aroma has that lovely fruit feel to it, and the opening flavor is a nice burnt trace to it. I think I drank it too fast though...

This bottled brew poured a small sized head of light yellow brown colored fine to medium sized bubbles that left behind a very cloudy brown colored body with no visible carbonation and a fair lace. The aroma was nice with notes of apricot malts and caramel. The mouth feel was malty and mild from start to finish. The flavor contained notes of nice caramel malts. Rather enjoyable.

Poured brown w/ little head, sweet aroma, caramel malts. Flavor was a little sweet, pretty strong and flat, but not too bad.

Smell is malt and has a apple juice or apple cider with alcohol aroma. Barely any head created and what does start quickly breaks up leaving behind a amber red beer naked of head. Body is flat and has not enough carbonation. Taste is as if I’m drinking medicine. Caramel malt, syrup, and dab of spice are the only flavors i care to pick out because i was not enjoying it. This was a big disappointment.

Thanks Don for bringing back from SD. Like a liquor. Sweet from the carmel and malt. Scotch up front and then carbonation kicks in with hoppy aftertaste that tingles the tongue. Bit of lace. WIne-like.

Pours a brown with little head. Sweet malt aroma. It’s flavor is sweet and smooth with a Scotch Ale’s "tootsie roll" flavor that I associate with the style. Not bad.

Big malty and deicious. Good malt complexity. Some mild peated smikiness perfect balance with the roasted mocha and nuts body. Dates and prunes with some raisin. Excellent mouthfeel and conditioning. Very good balanced finish. Remember you have to judge a beer by style not your opinion.

Pours amber/brown with thin quickly dissipating head. Aroma i very sweet, mostly of carmel malt. Flavor is even sweeter, a bit too much in my opinion. Quite rich- Thick, syrupy, I even taste a bit of chocolate. Alcohol comes in a bit. Get’s old fast.
