Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

BadAprilia1000 (427) - Sevierville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 16, 2015
Pours a hazy golden orange with a very strong off white head. Aroma is peach juice, tropical, hoppy, grapefruit, strong mango, lemon and orange dominant and a weak lime zest for citrus, heavy and oily pine, all with a great sweet malt backbone. Taste is peach, orange, grapefruit, lemon, biscuit, malt, mango, tropical fruit, average hop bitter. Extremely solid double IPA, much more drinkable than most, the fruit sweetness actually is stronger than the hop bitter, buy a couple of bombers if you like IPAs.

On draft at Tap 25. Im pretty sure Ive had this beer on several occasions throughout the years, but Im finally getting a chance to rate it. It pours a rich gold color with a lasting white head. The aroma is sweet peachy, florals, citrus and tropical fruit. Not too potent. The flavor is extremely bitter with pine and sweaty tropical fruit. It has an oily body. Pretty good, if a bit heavy on the bitterness.

24-OCT-2014, bottle @Morten. Huge 9/10, creamy, fluffy, yellow head. Aroma is hops. Perhaps not all that fresh. Pine, fruit, touch of cheese. Taste is so hoppy. Very, very bitter, grape fruit, pine, touch of cardboard. Full body, sweet. Very heavy malty backbone. A rough one. That I like.

"called a double ipa, but drinks like a hoppy barleywine...a little more hop and a little less pine, and youd think it was a bigfoot. good beer, not best of style, but worth trying. 2010-as the years pass, this one keeps getting passed, but its still good. too much biscuit malt detracts from it, though."

Pours hazy gold with very large frothy head out of bottle. Pleasant aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, and a mixture of hops. Flavor of citrus, fruit, caramel, and of course hops. Very good beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice hoppy bouquet, citrus, mango, pine, decent caramalt backbone, dry hoppy finish. Solid IIPA, but found the muscat version a tad smoother.

Served on cask at Als of Hampden into a nonic pint.

A - Pours a clear dark copper color with a thin white head that leaves a very faint lacing down the glass.

S - Strong tropical fruit aroma with hints of mango, lemon, and other citrus fruits. A slightly sweet smell from the malt is a welcome addition to the strong hop presence.

T - Based on the smell I thought this was going to be a hop bomb, that was not the case. The malt, while hiding slightly behind the strong hop presence in the nose, offers tons of sweet malt flavors that overpower the somewhat subdued hop presence. The hops are there, just not as much as you would expect.

M - The body is medium-light with the flavor being a little on the heavy side. Fairly good carbonation that fades over time. The malt flavors linger on the pallet for some time afterwards.

D - The nose was much better than the taste. While I enjoyed the opportunity to try this one I just feel that it could have been better, especially for $7 a glass.

Round orangey citrus aromas, caramel, sweet bread dough. Hazy orange with a lasting white head. Off-dry, initial malt sweetness, mild bitterness, great balance. Medium bodied.
