Draft. Rich amber beer with a dark cream colored head. Nice fruity aroma with malt. Nice dark fruit flavor with dried fruit and malt. Medium plus bodied. Nice dark fruitiness lingers with dried fruit and malt. Very nice. Brewed in ’08 but little to no oxidation. Sledutah (7841) - Utah, USA - MAR 9, 2011

Appearance: Hazy reddish amber with a small off-white head and some lacing
Aroma: Sweet caramel malts, sour cherries and woody
Taste: Sweet malts, tart fruits, oak and hot alcohols
Draft. Pours clear flat toffee-ruby; thin head, weak lacing. Nose is big barrel; almost too much, rather offensive in that it masks almost all other aspects of the nose. Some sweet fruit and toffee, but little else apart from the barrel notes. Flavours of cough syrup, spice, more cough syrup. I can see where they were going with this, but it didn’t quite get there... nickd717 (4888) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 25, 2010
On tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Fest. Cloudy reddish brown in color with minimal head. The aroma is pretty nice, with caramel malts, oak, port, and dark fruit. Nice flavor, rich caramel malt base, oak barrel, port, and slight wild notes. Medium-full bodied and fairly smooth on the palate with soft carbonation. Overall a good one. Pours deep ruddy brown with no head. Nose is malty dried fruits and a bit of alcohol. Same in the flavor with deeper fruit influences and port.
