Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Odd dark malts, rich and with a trace of cream but also carrying a distinctly tea like tang. Light floralness and a touch of dark fruits. Finishes dry and spicy. Mmm. Okay.
Aroma: intense filter coffee, chocolate, toasted malts. Appearance: black small, creamy, beige head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: lightly acidic, citrus, dark, toasted malts, bittersweet chocolate. 3/29/16. Bomber bought 11/2014. Min head and carbonation. Light lacing. Very subtle nose. Aging has played down the fruit and amped the dark roasty notes. Not as nice a mouthfeel as I would have expected for 10%. A bit one dimensional

Nose is chocolate, molasses, light peppery spice, roast malt, charr.
Taste comprises toffee fudge, chocolate cake, molasses, roast malt, faint spicy bite.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.

Draft in a flight at the brewery. Pours a cloudy opaque brown with a small tan head that laces the glass and settles into a ring. Notes of fudge, dark chocolate, roasted malts, earth, burnt brown sugar, and some citrusy bitterness. Finishes sweeter after a bitter middle. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Pours black with a finger of tan head. Aroma of chocolate, brown sugar, light dried fruit. Quite sweet. Taste is sweet, milk chocolate and mocha, with a light coffee bitter finish. Body is medium to full, smooth and creamy, with soft carbonation.
