350ml bottle. Sigh. Another sweet, below par lager in Guatemala. I have no idea what the reference to bock beer on the label is about. I didn’t pour this but from looking through the bottle it does look slightly darker than a normal lager. OK maybe from the taste they have tried to do something different than just make a normal lager but whatever it is hasn’t worked. It is extremely sweet and apart from some malts to finish, it is generally grim. Foffern (1983) - Bodø, NORWAY - MAR 22, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear amber colour with a small white head that fades fast. Has a light aroma of some sweet malt, a little caramel, oak and honey. Sweet flavour of wood, leather, brown sugar and caramel. Slick mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. A bit sweet beer with a carful aroma but an okay taste.

Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt, light tobacco and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, toffee and light tobacco with a crisp lingering carmel finish. ghawener (1609) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - MAR 4, 2012
Bottle: pours brownish black with thin tan head. Very sweet, lots of unatural caramel flavor. Food Pairing: Pancakes with maple syrop. Curtis2010 (8) - GUATEMALA - JAN 28, 2012 does not count
A nice change from the mainstream beers which predominate here in Guate (much like the US mainstream brews). This is still of course a mass produced beer, but Bock-like in it’s character -- though on the light end of this range. When served very cold (as it is typically) then it can be a bit overly sweet. But, I find that if you give it a good vigorous pour and serve at more appropriate temps (50-55F) then the effect on the character is quite dramatic -- less sweet, more malty complexity, and a touch of hops flavor.

At a tasting, thanks DSG, pours Amber with a medium head, strong lagerish aroma of malt sweetness, herbs, some fruity notes and light acidity, flavor of woodruff, vanilla, caramel, homebrewed typical off-flavors and light bitterness, medium bodied, OK tomer (3751) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - JAN 24, 2011
At a tasting’ thanks DSG, clear light strawberry red colour, aroma of honey drops and a touch of citrus, strong flavour of honey drops and some candy, very light bitterness and body. Mediocre.
