Cask, The Pub, Leicester. Dark brown with an off white foam. Aromas are dark berries with chocolate and some tangy funk. Flavours are sour berries with dark chocolate. Yeasty and a little funky. OK. downender (8882) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2014
Cask-conditioned at the Crown, Bristol 25/1/2014. Medium brown with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, berry fruits, caramel, solid malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine. HogTownHarry (7065) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - AUG 21, 2013
August 21, 2013 - hand-pull cask at The Wheatsheaf. Deep burnt copper pour, minimal head. Some diacetyl in aroma and taste, some paper and a surprising amount of sugary sweetness. Thick, still, sugary, quick finishing and harshly sweet in the aftertaste - possibly the worst beer I have had this trip to date. jamesie1857 (1980) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 19, 2013
On gravity, at Barrow Hill Beer Festival - dark ruby body, thin white head. A musty nose, with notes of cereals, chocolate and dark fruits. A bit thin in the mouth, with more chocolate, a trace of sweet fruit and lightly bitter finish. Drinkable. robbgg (36) - Derbyshire, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2013
Ruby brown with creamy head. Slight malty aroma and taste but thin and uninspiring.
