Clear amber beer. Barely any aroma. There’s not a lot of taste either. Bit of malt, light fruit. Not much though and little aftertaste. Just...... weak. Martin243 (1222) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2016
Pint at the new Split Chimp Newcastle. Clear gold with a dense white head. Floral, honey, cat pee aroma. Similar flavours with grapefruit over a nutty malt base. Bitter finish. Fresh light palate. Perfectly acceptable quaffer. jjsint (3493) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2016
Cask at the Brewhouse, Sheffield. Light brown, pretty much clear with tight white head. Very little Roma: a bit of tea, cereal and biscuit, but it is very muted. Taste is basic bittersweet with a slight increase of bitterness in the finish. Almost comp,Ethel’s devoid of personality, but it’s a decent enough drink in its own way.
