Pours a proper hazy orange colour with a short lived white head. The aroma is deep, complex, and hard to pin down, theres the usual hops, and hop related aroma’s, maybe a little sweetness, honey, but I smell other things to, things strange and unusual to me in hoppy beers that I just can’t seem to put my finger on...strange. The flavor is good, hops all the way through, some balancing from the malts, but this is beer is mainly about grapefruit, resiney hop goodness. Finishes with orange rind and a strange malt related sweetness, it’s good.
All and all a very solid brew. paco (576) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - NOV 6, 2010
Bottle. Pours orange/amber with a small head. Aromas of rich malts and bitter citrus hops. Some caramel. The aroma is far more potent than the taste. Weak hops lead the flavors. Some malt balance but very weak. Hints of bitter citrus. Palate weak and fairly watery. No body. Very disappointing given the initial aromas. Bottle samples from Cratez via the Lick Bo’. Thanks Mike. Deep cloudy copper with a tight bubbled off white foamy cap. Aromas here were caramel malty but also quite hoppy, with C-hop pine, citrus, and fruity malts adding mango , LYKEE, straaaawwwwberry. This beer tasted not quite as hoppy as the nose would have had me believe. Still good though. Solid toffee malt profile with subtle citric hops and pithy bitterness, add a bit of pine and mango for good measure. Almost seemingly an EPA of sorts, but with American style hopping, WELL DONE! Thanks for sharing Mike. JesseM (1158) - Margaritaville, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 28, 2010
650mL bomber from the Likhbow. Pours a nice copper with a medium beige head. Aroma is really solid, resiny hops with a good toffee biscuit malt backbone. Flavour hits right away with some nice juicy hops, puckering bite followed by really tasty toasted biscuit malts. Delicious lingering west coastish hop flavour. Blends really well. Body is just kind of lightish, but nothing too tragic. Nice to see some BC stuff make it into Onterrible. Would be really nice to see more *hint*hint*LCBO*. Satisfying session IPA. Pours light amber with some head. Most of the taste is up front as the finish is a little watery. Good IPA.

Bomber from LCBO, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. Spab (3962) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2010
App.: Clear orange-amber with a decent light-tan foam.
Aroma: Great grapefruit and pine, quite American with good crunchy caramel malt as support, berries, a little burnt sugar, dark rye bread crust.
Palate: Medium body, elegant effervescence.
Flav.: A nice mixture of strawberries and grapefruit, marmalade and berry jam, some pine/resin, with fairly good caramel malt backing; lightly sweet with decent bitterness and a pleasant fruity orange malt finish.
There is nothing nasty about this habit.
650 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a dark amber/copper with small off-white head. Aroma has big caramel malt and citric/floral hopping. Taste is quite hoppy, somewhat earthy with solid caramel malt. Moderate bitterness in finish. Simple but pleasant and drinkable IPA. DerWeg (1694) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 21, 2010
Coppery-gold color is limpid, head of white fine foam, small. Aroma and tastes bestow both classic noble and citra hops, quite delicious. I actually taste some candy lemon. Softly grassy, but rounded hops. Expect a shocking number of Ontario ratings... and a gushing of appreciation for nods to the American styling. Very good! 650ml bottle from the LCBO. Dark amber pour with a thick head that left great lacing. Nice citrus aroma from the hops. Nice malt body, the hops taking over in the finish. Nice. pootzboy (1778) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 19, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2010 Bottle.
Pours an amber ale with a puffy cap. Aroma is all PacNW- citrus, floral fruity big caramel malting. Rich mouth feel. Big crystal malting meets big Yakama hopping in good balance..some fruits, citrus, earthyness....bittering increases to the clean bitter finish that ends with a tangerine bite.
One of Canada’s best MIcro IPAs....a superior Anchor Liberty clone.
