ganache (6050) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 3, 2017
Bottle. Nose nice, dark coffee, mild malt behind it. Hazy pour is very light brown with tawny and ruby undertones, a full and creamy beige head. Taste light bitterness, semi-dry, very nutty, strong coffee, medium-strong malt, very fine carbonation in a perfectly-crafted fullish body. Red berry fruit, hint of roast/scorch from the malt and not coffee, faint citrus and green/living notes, very fresh and clean. Superb balance sets this one apart! [2017.06.03: 3.7]

3/17/2016 at Rusty Bucket in West Chester, Ohio: Hazelnut brown color with big coffee nose; flavor is heavy with artificially sweetened coffee; medium body; decent, but mostly just coffee, coffee, coffee with no other qualities coming through.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8139) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 28, 2016
Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy beige head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was toasty, woody and had a brewed coffee element. The flavor was toasty and woody with maple, brewed coffee and cracker. Long finish. Medium body. Ok.

ContemplateBeer (2097) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 31, 2016
12 oz. bottle from Old Town; shared with my Boo. Aroma: Light coffee roast with light toast and a hint of blackberries. Appearance: Slightly hazy dark toffee brown with a foamy tan head that settles into a sticky skin. Flavor: Roast + sweet and toasted malts up front a drier, lightly spicy hop finish; fruity esters from the nose didn’t stick around. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: A pretty nice coffee beer, especially with the balance struck between coffee and the base ale.
