Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate earthy malt and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium earthy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

Slightly orange tinted brown with a whipped, yellow-tan head.
Toasty aroma...light fruit, floral hops.
Taste is spicy, floras, caramel, malty.
Almost an IPA...
Very tasty. b3shine (8804) - Indiana, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a somewhat cloudy amberish brown with foamy beige head somewhere between off-white and light beige that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells sweet with notes of dark fruit and floral hops. Tastes like it smells with a bit more maltiness. Solid on the palate. Good beer. Drjohnrock (761) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 11, 2011
Sample from bottle at 2011 Cincinnati Beer Fest on Fountain Square. Medium orange/amber color, small off white head, nice sweet malty aroma, interesting bittersweet flavor that’s sufficiently firm yet an interesting departure from what one might expect from an ESB. Tasty seasonal. verymerrymonk (413) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 1, 2011
Pours a deep copper body with a thin but lasting white head. Sweet caramel initially followed by a dry, perfume-y finish. Persistent hop aftertaste. Nice lacing.

Draft pour. Pours a hazy copper with a beige head of foam. Aroma is herbal and grassy. Bitter and earthy. Bigger bodied and sticky mouthfeel. BuckeyeBoy (7543) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 8, 2015
12oz bottle pours out amber brown topped with a small head. Nose is roast malts nuts cereal spice and a nice hop touch. Taste is lots of malts a spice and a little bitterness on the end. rondphoto (4383) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - OCT 27, 2011
Good looking - medium golden amber with a generous head and lacing. Taste surprises: the normal harvest caramel malt and light spice are all there, but through the palate there is a clean balancing hop bitterness. Nice difference from traditional harvest ales. From the bottle: Pours a gorgeous Amber color with a fine 1.5" head. Aromas of Apple cider, dark fruits and some spice. Taste is similar, adding in some malt and median bitterness. A decent mid-range brew. Worth the coin.
