Pint at 101 Beer Kitchen on 10/10/16. Darkest brown to black in color with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, roast and slight dark fruit. Malty and chocolatey flavor with a slight molasses sweetness before a bitter coffee finish. zizzybalubba (1896) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - DEC 18, 2015
12 oz. bottle from Jungle Jim’s International Market, Fairfield, OH. Dark brown cola-like pour with a frothy khaki head. Aroma of roasted coffee, light smoke, and rich roasted barley. Taste of dark chocolate, espresso, and light floral hops. Mild bitterness lingers on the palate. A nicely done stout. sawbuck (792) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - DEC 2, 2015
Not much on the nose, some bitter chocolate, roasted malt. Ebony with a huge tan head. Sweet up front. Roasted malt, charcoal, and some bitter chocolate nicely swirled together. Bitterness is mellow, like bitter chocolate and balances sweetness nicely. Light to medium mouth feel, not as watery as most stouts tend to be. Solid stout. It’s a good stout. Pours to an inky-black with an airy tan head. The taste is different, but good with hints of dark roast and smokey flavor. The feel is pretty light, which I don’t typically care for in a stout, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Would like to try this on a tap with nitrogen instead of the bottled with CO2. Would definitely help with the mouth feel I was hoping for. Overall pretty good though. arn8897 (458) - Trenton, Ohio, USA - MAR 14, 2015
Pours black with a tan head. Aromas of chocolate and a little coffee. Palate is the same as aroma along with a little smokiness. Light to medium mouth feel. Nice lacing in the glass. Very nice stout.

Light chocolate aroma with a smooth coffee finish. Well balanced light creamy body. This is a good early summer stout. Not to heavy and doesn’t have that filling feeling in the belly umich03jm (3512) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - DEC 31, 2014
Bottle thanks to DrSilverworm. Black pour with a small creamy head that fades to a ring. Aroma is dark roasted coffee with some chocolate and light ash. Taste is roasty and somewhat bitter. Dark roasted (almost burnt) coffee, dark chocolate, light smoke, and a hint of vanilla. Medium body. Pretty solid stout that I might have to go back to. Bottle. 10/12/14. Pours opaque and black with a dense and active light brown head. Aroma is roasty, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, some coffee, hint of char/smoke; smells great. Taste is smokey, vanilla, chocolate, caramel, roasty; finish is creamy and smokey with roast malts. The roast malts here are big winner in my book. Light lacing. Medium-light bodied, thin but creamy. Medium-low carbonation. I’m ashamed it’s taken me this long to try this beer. Really nice job! GnarlyGnome (673) - Fairfield, Ohio, USA - SEP 6, 2014
Draft: very dark brown with a nice big, tan head. Lots of chocolate aromas. Taste is bitter chocolate and some nice mild coffee taste. Wonderful stout, doesn’t get the credit it deserves. douglas88 (9857) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 16, 2014
12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark mahogany color with a small beige head. A nice nose of chocolate and roasted malt. A sweet and bitter chocolate flavor, caramel malts, some ash, lactose. Pretty darn good. Dry mostly.
