Courtesy of markwise. Pours deep dark amber with thin off white head. The aroma is a bit spicy with cinnamon and winter spices to go along with graham cracker, some caramel and breadiness. The taste has lots of winter spices (mostly cinnamon) followed by sweet malts and a thin layer of malt roastiness. This is a decent enough mild winter brew but not really equipped to deal with a real winter. RKanis (152) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 20, 2010
Pours dark brown with reddish tints. Aroma is of ginger, sweet malt, nutmeg, and alcohol. Taste is like a liquid gingerbread man with a hint of alcohol. Real nice stuff. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 7, 2010
Extra from trade with phaleslu...thanks! Brown pour, small off white head. Burned caramel, vegetal notes, herbs and a bit of booze on the nose. Flavor is full of caramel, buchwheat pancakes and a very light bitter finish. Good beer. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 7, 2010

pours amber, off-white head.
Aroma light spices, malty caramel character. Found the aroma to be a little lacking, though the taste made up for it.
Flavors, got a lot of nice winter spices, cinnamon, some caramel/toffee, chocolate.
Lingering roasted malts, good balance with a mild caramel finish.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2013 12 oz. bottle from Ludlow Wines. Pours clear dark brown with a reddish tint and a small off-white head. Aroma of nutmeg, banana, spices, caramel malts, brown sugar, and a little earthy note. Flavor is sweet, with caramel malts, banana, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, spices, and toast. Light-medium bodied, with light carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel. Sweet finish. Pretty good. Re-rate: Better than I remembered. Nice spice-hop-malt balance. Good body, not overly spicy. verymerrymonk (413) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 30, 2010
