Indistinguishable "berry" addition to very average stout. Dark purple color, thin body and minimal head. Wouldn’t buy again. shrubber85 (11508) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 10, 2011
Bottle. Blackberry and chocolate malt aroma. Reddish brown color with small head. Sweet-tart blackberry and light chocolate malt flavor. Medium body. Light but nicely drinkable. burg326 (5577) - Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2011
Twelve ounce bottle that pours a dark brown with little head. Aroma of rancid black berries that isn’t too pleasent on the palate. wnoble (1251) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAR 14, 2011
Pours brown with some head. Smells like a brown with some artificial fruit and juice aroma. Taste is like the mix between a cheap snow cone and cough syrup. Not good. drainpour. Silphium (3199) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - FEB 25, 2011
On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Translucent cloudy orange body, thin buff head. Nose of tart blueberry. Body toasty and somewhat sweet with cereals, roast, and blueberry. Cerealy finish. Weak, mediocre.

Draft. Aroma has notes of blackberry, chocolate and roasted malts. Very dark ruby amber hue that sits almost black with an average off-white head. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter and a little sour. Palate is medium bodied with average carbonation. Wow, what an amazing beer. Wonderful chocolate and fruit flavors. Loved it. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 5, 2010
Clear copper with a quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma of perfumed malts, blackberry, syrup and molasses. Taste of malt and blackberry. Mildly tart with a metallic finish that’s a touch bitter. The start of a mount pleasant vertical that was suppose to ascend in flavor and taste but it did the exact opposite making this beer the best of the bunch. pauls_parade (340) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 23, 2010
Draft pour. Reddish-brown in color, opaque. Leaves a touch of lacing. Blackberries in the nose with some roasted malt aroma. Medium in body, smooth, with a short palate-cleaning finish. Sweet with blackberries and balanced with a touch of roasted/earthy bitterness. Unique. Enjoyable as a summer brew! flatmatt (1593) - Northville, Michigan, USA - MAY 29, 2010
On tap. Pours dark brown with a white head; looks very cola-like. Aroma has some roast and hints of berries and sweetness. Flavor has a smoky roastiness with juicy dark berry flavor that gets stronger as it warms. Quite enjoyable. Strykzone (7491) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - APR 19, 2010
Sampled at Schlafly’s repeal. This beer poured quite reddish with just a tiny head. It was very sour with dry bitterness. Blackberry notes were strong and nice. The blackberry was the saving grace here. It fell short otherwise.
