An American style wheat mixed with blackberry juice and a touch of our Steam Engine Stout to create this dark fruity ale.
Almost over the top blackberry.

(bottle - 12 oz) Dark amber pour with a thin tan head. Lots of blackberries in the aroma with a light hint of roasted malts and dry wheat. Good blackberry flavor at the start of the flavor with a bit of dry malts in the middle and a slightly tart blackberry finish. superspak (6212) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - MAY 13, 2015
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 10/7/2014. Pours hazy deep reddish brown color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of blackberry, raisin, plum, caramel, toffee, toast, light cocoa, light herbal, and toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of blackberry and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of blackberry, raisin, plum, caramel, toffee, toast, light cocoa, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roast bitterness and slight fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of blackberry, raisin, plum, caramel, toffee, toast, light cocoa, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of blackberry and dark/bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/tartness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy, and lightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice fruited wheat/stout beer. All around good robustness and balance of blackberry and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
