3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ brewpub...Light coppery color with 2 finger head, lacing. Aroma is strong earthy hops. Flavor is dominated by the hops, which impart a nice citrus taste. Some caramel notes are evident, but overall this one is on the bitter side. Clean finish. Good IPA.
Appearance: 1 finger thick white head that dissipates after a minute. Hazy orange copper color.
Aroma: citrus, pine, floral, honey.
Flavour: citrus, grapefruit, pine, honey, floral, grassy.
Overall: this is a well balanced full bodied IPA with a dry finish. Ahuth (609) - Illinois, USA - DEC 27, 2016
Bottle. Pours Amber brown. To be fair mine has wheat floaters in it. However the palate is light and crisp. The taste is light. Citrus. Below average. superspak (5685) - Michigan, USA - APR 20, 2016
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/21/2015. Pours moderately hazy orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, apricot, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, apricot, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, apricot, pineapple, mango, lemon/orange rind, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero hop astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a nice American IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering. (bottle - 12 oz) Copper pour with a white head. Aroma is full of hops and some dry grass. Flavor is insanely bitter, almost to the point of undrinkable. Not good. [9/9/15]

Not as terrible as everyone said a bit soapy lightly grassy. Avg palate. Bad after taste of soap... Yuck. hotstuff (5175) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 26, 2014
Rated on 01-08-2012. This bottled IPA pours a very small creamy, smooth head that is fully lasting, gold transparent body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, citrus, and orange pine hops. The flavor is grapefruit and orange pine hops and has a short dry finish. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. The hops are upfront as they should be for this beer style, but they are not in your face hops. This beer is easy drinking even for us non-hop heads. koleminer20 (3704) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 13, 2014
12 oz bottle into a pint glass. The pour is a clear copper color, maybe a touch lighter. With a two-finger slightly off white head and pretty nice lacing. The aroma is incredibly full of piney resin. There is a nice hoppiness and strong citrusy presence. Nothing too fantastic. The flavor is similar. There is a solid hoppiness coupled to a light bitterness before the resin flavor takes over. The mouth feel is decent, there is a medium creamy carbonation, and the aftertaste is bitter and dry, with a touch of resin. Not the best IPA out there.

Bottle thanks to my neighbor. This beer is a nice hazy copper colored body with a thin but lasting creamy white head. Spotted lacing. The aroma and flavor are herbal, grassy, and fairly malty for an IPA. The palate is medium bodied and has a rather malty feel. A very drinkable beer, which is fortunate, as I have an entire six pack. A bit malty for an IPA, however.
