MBGSF 2011. Poured hazy reddish amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate tart raspberry fruit aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart raspberry flavor with a medium sweet fruit finish of moderate duration. Refreshing soft fruit beer.

12oz bottle pours hazy copper with semi loose tan head. The aroma is tart hay notes, raspberry, berry like tartness and sweet berry juice. The taste is similar with some tartness moving into explosive levels of carbonation blasting off bits and pieces of berry essence everywhere including tart tannins, un-ripe bits and sweet juicy shrapnel.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent light orange colored body. The aroma was musty and fruity. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strange flavor contained notes of raspberry. A horrible one that I would rather not drink again.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/26/2015. Pours hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of sweet/lightly tart raspberry, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with well balanced raspberry juice, pale malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of sweet/lightly tart raspberry, pear, apple, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of raspberry, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of raspberry juice, pale malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice fruited pale wheat ale style. All around good robustness and balance of raspberry juice, pale malt, fruity yeast, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. The base pale wheat ale was very well done to style as well. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Sampled at a The LoSBD meeting, thanks (?!?) to RAYBOY01: The "?!?" is due to my initial notes being "Horrible Crap!" It has a pinkish body without much of a head. It has a strong artificial fruit aroma like those godzaweful hard candies that my late father used to enjoy. (I didn’t.) The flavor is much the same, raspberry candy with a slight tartness.

From a 12 oz bottle to a pint glass. Pours a cloudy copper hue that has a slight smell of raspberries. Head stayed awhile in the glass, nothing too special.

tap. Amber with small head. It may come as a shock, but this tastes like a generic wheat beer with mild raspberry.

hotstuff (5158) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAR 18, 2012
Bottle purchased at Siciliano’s Market in Grand Rapids, MI in December, 2011. Pours a small semi-fizzy white head that was mostly lasting. One ring of lacing, hazy body, fizzy, fast-rising carbonation, and an orange hue. The aroma is sweet, tart and raspberries. The flavor was sweet, tart, tangy, sour, acidic, artificial raspberries, and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is tingly and this is a light-medium bodied Fruit beer. Overall, it was over-the-top tart and acidic and came very, very close to being a drain pour.

bottle from the brewery - Pours light hazy pink-orange with a small off white head. The aroma is clearly of raspberries. The flavor is sweet with prominent raspberries along with wheat and yeast evident. It’s light bodied and fairly refreshing, but there’s not much character to be had here. Okay.

Headbanger (3999) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - NOV 28, 2012
12oz bottle 11/28/12- 44° in Flute-Pours a clear pinkish amer with a big white head. Aroma of raspberry and sweetness. Taste of the same with some slight tartness. This light bodied brew was not too bad but not sure if it was old or infected .
