this beer had a clear dark red pour with brown at the sides and top, the pour made a one finger or more light tan colored head that receded to a thin cover and ring, the glass had flowing carbonation just about everywhere, it left nice spots and fingers of lacing on the sides of the glass,
and the bottle had a thin cover of brown sediment with a ring of a thicker layer of sediment towards the edges of the bottom,
this beer had malty aromas of toasted malt, chocolate, faint caramel, malt and bread sweetness,
it had flavors of toasted malt, chocolate and caramel, malty sweetness,
the finish had a small bitterness with toasted malt flavor following,
the mouth feel was medium or so, it was creamy and had average carbonation,
a beer with nice malty aromas and flavors, I enjoyed this drink.
Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent caramelish orange with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells malty with notes of caramel and bit of lager yeast. Tastes like it smells with some toffee too. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied. Inoffensive, but underwhelming. congapaul (1) - Alpena, Michigan, USA - MAY 28, 2014 does not count
It has just what you’d expect in the Bocky Aromas, but more roasty than normal.
Appearance is right on track with this taste, nice creamy head. Taste also follows the Aroma, a little heavier than a standard bock it starts out with what you expect then finishes with a roasty sweet taste. Overall it’s a very solid Bock on Tap experience.

Copper with a large tan head. Dusty aroma of caramel, bready malt and yeast. Taste of toasted Munich malt, caramel, a touch of brown sugar and a dry finish. patrick767 (4474) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 13, 2012
bottle - Pours dark amber with a small light tan head and a very malty aroma with some toffee. The flavor is of sweet malt and caramel with a medium body, light, soft carbonation, and a mildly bitter finish. It’s good.

Bottle courtesy of Strykzone. Poured an amber brown with an off white head and good lacing. Noose of or roasted malts and floral hops. Medium body and light mouthfeel. Flavor is sweet malts with some floral bitterness. Quite decent. Strykzone (7800) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2011
12 oz. bottle bought on a trip to Michigan. This beer is dark brown with caramel colored highlights and a decent tan head that becomes blotchy. The aroma is an Irish malt based beer and that comes through in the flavor. It began a little hot but the alcohol soon settled. Hops were grassy and there was a strong earth theme. The finish included coffee. Onslow (1540) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - SEP 9, 2011
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Darker red amber brew with one finger of off white head that settles down to a persistent thin frothiness. Aroma of roasted malts, hops. Taste begins with malt sweetness - maybe a little too sweet - transitioning to a blend of malt, molasses, brown sugar. Moderately bitter hops towards the end of the swallow transitioning into a somewhat uncouth sour hoppiness at the very end. Is OK. Bottle. Pours a light brown with reddish highlights and a small/medium head of tan suds. Aromas are malty and sweet... brown sugar, bread and caramel, but offer little else. Flavor is a cloyingly sweet combination of the above (with special emphasis on the brown sugar) with maple syrup and a bit of roasted malt in the finish... that quickly fades back to brown sugar. xnoxhatex (1305) - Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA - MAY 4, 2009
Bottle from Party World? outside of GR. Almost clear red amber with small to medium, creamy beige head. Aroma is sweeter biscuit and caramel malt, some yeast spice, very pleasant. Flavor is a surprising sweet roast with chocolate, yeast, biscuit, caramel, pretty rich, solid and full flavored. Medium body with active carbonation. Very nice, very tasty, what I like about this brewery. Instyle but doing something a little extra and interesting.
