An easy-drinking, malt-focused beer with an initial sweetness and a roasted dryness in the finish. Our Irish Red has a low hop bitterness and a clean, smooth texture to make this one of your everyday favorites.

Pours dark red, sweet aroma of malts and hops, medium mouthfeel, lots of earthy toasted malts, very tasty, tap at brewery.

kramer (6991) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 1, 2015
Pours a clear dark amber body with a minimal wispy off white head. The nose is toasty and slightly sweet with just a bit of light roast coffee. The flavor is pretty good for the style, toasty, lightly nutty, a bit of coffee, minimal but noticeable hops on the finish. Pretty strong effort. A bit bigger bodied for the style than usual. Soft fizzy carbonation. Good beer, especially for the style.

On tap at the brewery as part of a sampler, this beer was one of the flight that I did not enjoy as much as the others. It is a fairly solid beer but I did not like the malt forwardness of this beer as much, there was a slight graininess that was hard to get passed. OK.
