Mühlen Kölsch has been brewed and filled by hand in the traditional way since 1858, in the original building of the Brewery zur Malzmühle at the Hay Market. Only natural, raw ingredients of the highest quality are used: barley malt and a small portion of wheat malt, high-quality aroma hops, spring water and yeast. The combination of ingredients and production using an old family recipe dating back to 1858 imparts the typical, characteristically robust, malty, full-flavored taste to our Mühlen Kölsch.

0,33l bottle bought and drank at Köln. This one is certainly different than a most typical kölsch with it’s grainy maltyness both in aroma and taste. Points for some personality in this strict style.

Being brought up on Altbier it is hard to be objective on Kölsch. I sampled a number but it didn't quite work for me. AMong those I tried I see Mühlen as one of the better.
