COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zuster Agatha is a dark beer with 10% ABV. Brewed according to the Trappist traditions and only natural ingredients. Althoug these types of beer a normally named after male chatholics the brewer still decided to name it after Sister Agatha. Its a beer to enjoy in peace and quite. It has a complex aroma with fruit, raisins and roasted malts. Its full and solid with a surprisingly dry finish. It invites you to take another sip. Please be careful with this high alcoholic beer as the strenght might attack you by surprise. Brewed for and with the recipe of de Muifel Brouwerij (http://www.muifelbrouwerij.nl/).

Bottle 330ml (from Edo I think)
Dark brown color, good beige head. Liquorice, some milky notes, caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Liquorice, caramel, berries, toasted malts, raisins in the sweetish flavor. Lingering liquorice in the aftertaste. Covers alcohol in the flavor well.

SlackerMads (3343) - DENMARK - DEC 6, 2015
Bottle received in the European swap, thanks to Benzai. Light hazy chestnut brown with a medium sized beige head with good retention and lace. Dark dried fruits, cocoa, som odd nail polish like chemical notes and sugar in the nose. Flavour has little depth and is slightly raw. Chocolate, grain, cocoa, dark dried fruits, alcohol, mild astringency in the finish. Medium/full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, fine balance between sweet and bitter. Ok.

Wat een coole naam voor een bier, wel een zeer zwaar bier, traag te drinken is de boodschap.

Aroma:
Medium aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, dark fruit and liquorice.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/brown beer with a slight/medium beige head.

Taste/Palate:
Medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, dark fruit and liquorice.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense and complex, but lacks balance. This beer is too sweet to make out all the individual flavours.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2015 Aroma: roaster malts, dark fruits, alcohol. Taste: Roasted malts, vanilla, caramel, raisins, dark fruits. The aftertaste is mostly bitter, malts, maybe even salty. Nice one. Less fruity and ?darker? than La Trappe Quad.
