COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zuster Agatha is a dark beer with 10% ABV. Brewed according to the Trappist traditions and only natural ingredients. Althoug these types of beer a normally named after male chatholics the brewer still decided to name it after Sister Agatha. It’s a beer to enjoy in peace and quite. It has a complex aroma with fruit, raisins and roasted malts. It’s full and solid with a surprisingly dry finish. It invites you to take another sip. Please be careful with this high alcoholic beer as the strenght might attack you by surprise. Brewed for and with the recipe of de Muifel Brouwerij (http://www.muifelbrouwerij.nl/).

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2016 Grote schuimbellen, niet zo mooi. Geur ok, kruidig en moutig. Smaak is wel lekker kruidig, maar niet super. Klopt

On tap at In de Wildeman. Pours murky brown pour, off white head. Aroma is extremely winey, oxidized notes, marzipan, vanilla, port, oak. Taste is sweet, lots of port, fortified wine, madeira notes. A quite "americanized" version of what a traditional dark belgian strong ale is, much boozier and oxidized than traditional examples. Palate is full bodied with medium carbonation. Interesting.

Dobre tresciwe se spora bezowa i kremowa pianka. Spora i trwala jak na ten gatunek. Czarne piwo z lekkim odciemiem machoniowym. Slodkawe, cukier brazowy wyczuwalny, nieco osadu, ale niewiele. Prosta i czarna etykieta. Alkohol ukryty. Przyjemne i smaczne piwo. Sadze ze nadalo by sie idealnie do starzenia.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2015 Dark reddish brown colour with a frothy tan head. Aroma of dark malts, caramel, dark fruit, candy sugar. Flavour is light to medium malty sweetness. Body is a bit thin. Surprisingly easily drinkable for a 10% beer. A nice enjoyable brew, but a bit too thin to make for a great Quad.

Donkere van kleur. Licht zoet van geur. Heerlijk op smaak met kruiden en chocolade.....

Bottle 330 ml at hoe, poured into a big snifter. ABV 10% Deep red brown colour on the body, seems quite clear when hold against the light/ Onew finger of tan head, thin but with good retention, leaving light lacing on the glass as it collapses. Aroma of caramel, light malty, dark fruits, raisins, plums, black grapes, light alcohol. Taste of dark fruitsmostly raisins and plums, sugar, alcohol that gives a nice warmth on the body without burning on the tongue. Quite sweet but without being cloying. A touch of bitterness on the aftertaste. Great! Medium thick body, average carbonation. A bit sticky on the palate. Overall a very nice quadrupel, on par with more well-known names out there, but I don’t see it so often around and that’s a pity.

Shared with Lennart 16/12/13. Very dark beer. Medium carbonation. Smells like chocolate, though not very expressive. Sweet taste. Also hints of dark chocolate. Just how I like it. Good beer.

Pitch black transparent beer with surface carbonation and a nice thick head. Red accents int he light. Smell is yeasty breadiness with subtle coffee toffee and citric fruitiness. Full creamy sweet sour taste, with a fizzy metallic feel. Well balanced but with little taste development.

33cl Bottle from Secret Sint, cheers! Deep dark reddish brown colour, beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, brown sugar, light spicy, plums, some currants. Flavour is sweet, malty, dark fruits, brown sugar, hint of spice, more sugar, decent bitter finish with some alcohol. Medium-bodied, a little fizzy. Nice, but lacks a bit of depth to be really great.
