Pours a orange haze in the glass, with peaches and cream color to the head. This is a gorgeous looking blonde with an impressive ABV%, but upon closer inspection this beer leaves much to be desired. Mouth feel is surprisingly dense and bitter, like salt water. The nose of the beer contains tart, unripened fruit like apples and pears, and the taste follows with hints of citrus and lactic yeast. This beer attempts much, but in all is not as refreshing as typical Belgian blondes, has neither spicy or sweet complexity like other strong ales, and just too bland to be a gueze. In the end it left me wanting a pure style, but I was left with an ale that is neither coherent or inspired. This beer will feel more at home in its region, known for its ciders and fruit wine, and would go well with sharp cheese on a summer picnic.

Originally rated March 2007. Ah geez... a 9% ABV in a bomber on a weeknight. Pours a hazy golden-orange colour with an off-white head that is small in average, creamy, disappears fast enough, but leaves a nice coating all over the brew and glass. Decent active carbonation. The nose is not too appealing, with a vinegar out-dated scent. After breathing a bit, some pleasant spices appear. Ah man, there is just something about Multi-Brasses brews that I cannot stand in the taste. It is on the vegetable side. This one has sugar and the vinegar-sourness does not appear in the flavours. The alcohol is very well-hidden, maybe this is a bad thing in this case. Will not try again.

Bottle from a trip to Montreal. Pours a hazy apricot with a thin to medium white head. Lightly papery, old caramel, oxidized plums. Tastes like cardboard, paper, booze. Some unpleasant green apple flavors. Weird. Dumped the bulk of it.

An odd but not undrinkable Belg. Cloudy peachy with lots of lace and significant soapy head. Boozy cidery aroma. Drinks cidery with yeast as second and malts in he background.

(Rating #1372)

Bottle: Poured a clear light copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with some nice lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian type malt is dominating. Taste is dominated by some sweet malt with maybe a tad too much sweetness which gets to be a bit cloying. Body has an oily texture with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not a very complex beer overall but better then I had expected.

Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, biegaman & Viggo -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange with a small diminishing off-white head. Aroma’s pretty sour, lightly fruity along with yeast and spices. Flavour’s sour, yeasty and a little boozy with a tart/alcoholic/bitter finish. Average bodied. Possibly infected? Either way, I didn’t much care for this at all.

Cloudy orange poor with a a small off-white head but has good lacing. Aromas of pasion fruit, mangos, pink grapefruit, oranges, bananas and nutmeg. Sour acid mouthfeel. Almost no bitterness. Added flavors of rhubarb and sour grapefruit. Missing maybe a little sweetness to it. Gueuze like characteristics, unique but missing that extra umph in the body... Good overall.

Hazy amber color with an off-white head. Smells of sour apples and citrus. Very citrusy on the pallate. The hops is not prominent. Acidic on the tongue. Sour apples in the after taste. very refreshing.

Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, biegaman and viggo - my bottle via trade with Viper666. Hazy light yellow-orange, small frothy off-white head. Light aroma of tart, near-sour fruit, perfume hops - odd, maybe old. That sourness is joined by staleness and, weirdly, fishy saltiness - bleh. Light, flat, sourly acid mouthfeel, sour, stale aftertaste - no thanks.
