on tap at the berlinerbierfest 2013. straw coloured with a thin head; dull version of the style - light grassy aroma, mild tinny bitterness, faint floral character but not much else to report

Bamsen78 (5617) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2013
Draught @ BBF16. Pours clear pale golden with stable white head. Faint aroma of hops and yeast. Sweetish, yeasty flavour with notes of hops. Very watery. Dusty and paperlike aftertaste. Not very convincing but drinkable.

MiP (16055) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 6, 2013
Draught at BBF13. Clear shiny golden colour. Stable white head. Chalky flavour with a hint of earth in the finish. Low bitterness and chalky maltiness.

culchiem (4245) - Berlin, GERMANY - AUG 2, 2013

Smells and looks okay, but the taste is very nice. Zesty and quite fruity with and exteremely dry finish, this is a great pilsener.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 20, 2010
It’s golden with a creamy, white head and the aroma has notes of malt, bread, grass and straw. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of clover-flower, malt, light straw and the finish is dry. It’s aromatic and refreshing.

(bottle) Pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Floral hoppy nose with a touch of slight sweet malts and a tinge of honey. Moderate hopbitter flavour, light to medium body, crispy mouthfeel. Slight sweet malty taste, pleasant and quite lasting bitter and foral hoppy aftertaste. A well-made and moreish Pilsener.

bierkoning (13813) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUL 24, 2005
Forthy head. Hoppy, just a bit flowery, somehwat herbal and grassy aroma. Hoppy, almost creamy malty somewhat hay-like flavor. Hopbitter aftertaste. Absolutely a top quality Bavarian pilsener. Thanks Dortmunder, for getting me acquinted with this pilsener.

pivnizub (10907) - Bochum, GERMANY - JUL 20, 2005
Bottle: Clear golden colour, thin lacing fluffy head; very light hoppy nose, some musty vegetables; light sweetish flavour, nearly no aftertaste; a great secret: why is this brew called Pils ? Too complicated for me.........

dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - JUN 30, 2005
Bottled. Clear golden colour. Medium bubbly head with a frothy top. Nose is floral hops, hints of malt and a light sweetness. Taste is first and foremost hoppy and bitter, then flowery hop notes, sweetness and a bready maltiness kick in. Finishes hop-bitter with a light sweetness and leaves a lingering bitter aftertaste. Wow, I was really caught by suprise from this beer. I believe this is a beer that pilsner fans would love. Maybe the only downside of this is that it doesn´t have quite a full body as the best pilsners like Pilsner Urquell, Jever or Budweiser. Have to try this again, soon. Great.
