pretty fun stuff, but not for everybody...I live in Chester County Mushroom Country, Pennsylvania, and my wife and I agreed that this tastes and smells like the local mushroom farms. Kinda an earthy, funky, barnyard umami quality with a definitely fungal characteristic. predominant alcohol flavor as well. yellower than most sakes i’ve had. i like it, but i’m probably gonna be the odd one out. The aroma is not delicate. There is alcohol, rice, and grass. The appearance is clear yellow. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin and oily. Overall it’s a pretty typical sake with a strong alcohol taste. Palidor19 (3189) - Brandon, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2007
This is a full bodied sake with a deep rich oily finish. The alcohol hits you on the tongue at first sip and stays with you through out the end.
