foyle (422) - Wyoming, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Served from 12 oz bottle into schooner glass. Pours a thick, foamy cream colored head that falls slowly with plenty of lacing on the glass. Color is clear amber with abundant carbonation streams. Aroma of rich bread dough, caramel, earthy hops. Mouthfeel is medium with a slightly wet finish. Flavor is abundant with molasses, toasted malt with some char, caramel, raisin, well balanced with earthy hops. Really enjoyed this one and would buy again.

20170507 HOME; 33 cl bottle without draught flow; BB oct 2017. A clear light amber colored beer with a good off-white foam layer. Aroma is somewhat sweet with slightly amount of higer alcohols (give a light fatty impression), some caramel and a small amount of hops bitter. Taste starts somewhat sweet with light caramel. Body is light with a somewhat watery feeling, which makes the bitter comingg good up with a dry finish.

330ml bottle. Light red/amber color with almost no foam. Malty taste with very little hoppy bitternes. Light to medium bodied. Nice carbonation.

330ml bbOCT2017, BLsampler. - Bref: the stainless steel third runnings of gently caramel/maple syrup-drizzled toast, made for unquestioning pub sessioning. Some sulphurous barleypaste farting through the twiggy caramels. Alluring copper-auburnginger in its pint on draught. Slight residual slickness. E poi niente.

Botella de 33cl. Escaso aroma, levadura, malta. Ligeramente amarga, poco cuerpo. Final amargo, no demasiado persistente, Se puede beber, sin más.

Hard to believe I never rated this, well, nothing like the right time. Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a ruby red color with a sly transparency about it. Finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a subtle pace. Stringy lace. The aroma combines toast, nuts, caramel/toffee malts and a delicate sweet cream. Some grassy hops underneath. The flavor leans towards the sweet side through the toast, malts and nuts. Hops barely play any part in this department. Nice smooth sweet aftertaste flowing into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt right. Overall, I like this one as an Irish red ale, not sure why it doesn’t get better marks, but then again, I’m guessing no one else is rating to style. Oh well, I’ll drink more of this preferably this time of year.

Rozemalt (19) - Groningen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 19, 2017
