This is one of my favorite beers on tap at the local pub. Beautiful red-amber color, smooth and creamy going down, and a lot of flavor with a chocolatey finish. Unfortunately, unless it’s on tap, it isn’t that great. Haven’t been able to find nitro can of it around my area, just basic bottles. SSKD814 (854) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2010
A-beautiful amber/red body with thick foamy white head. Head fades to the perfect size and stays there while lacing sticks to the glass.
S-nothing noteworthy of the smell. maybe faint malt and carmel to it.
T- the taste is very simple. sweet malt (maybe carmel) that finishes clean. The taste is not strong or bitter. finishes clean.
P-light carbonation with medium body. very smooth.
O-the simple taste and exceptional mouthfeel make this an extremely drinkable beer.

Hutný hořký pivák, až těm klukům rezatým z Irska skoro závidím, jaký dobroty tam pijou. Hm, až na to, že tohle je vyrobeno v holandsku. Dobře, heineken! Lahváč z Makra. BuzzBeer99 (80) - Oklahoma, USA - FEB 6, 2002
Probably the best amber I've drank. Creamy and smooth, belongs in every american pub. Tricountybeer (167) - Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2010
Sweer nutty aroma, copper colour, slight head. Roasted malt with a nutty flavour, good bitterness. Creamy and smooth. A very tasty ale Koskela (505) - Marysville, California, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Smells sweet and malty with a nice red/orange color. The first taste, bitter sweet in a good way, this beer had a very smooth finish and a medium body. The bitter and sweetness battle eachother also in a good way. This is the best irish red ive had to this date. Good job murphys, a beer worth rebuying for sure
