Thick creamy capuccino coloured head. Aroma: coffee, cream, chocolate, bread crust, milk. Taste: delicately balanced roasty tang and bitterness vs milky creaminess and minimal dark malt sweetness. Palate: creamy yet dry, some rounded stickiness in aftertaste, very drinkable. Overall: creamy yet crisp, roasty yet smooth - great taste and palate, but lacks aroma.

Brown. Thin head. Smells nutty. Pretty light. Quite nutty. Easy to drink. More of a brown ale than anything else.

Dark brown colour with huge beige head. Light aroma of roasted malts and hint of chocolate. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Low to medium body. Soft carbonation. Creamy texture. Not so bad.

In Ierland bij een pork belly. Guinness achtig uiterlijk , goed dus. Verder ook qua smaak en structuur vergelijkbaar. Lekker!

Appearance: nearly opaque black with brown margins, one finger of dense creamy beige head, excellent retention and lacing. (5/5) Aroma: toasty bready grains, faint chocolate and coffee. (7/10) Taste: low sweet, moderate bitter. (7/10) Medium body, soft carbonation, bone dry lingering bitter finish. (4/5) Quite a decent Dry Stout, for mass-market. I really appreciate the low sweetness and bone dry finish. Probably slightly better than Guinness Draught. (15/20)

14.9 ounce can, why cant this be a full pint? is saving 1.1 ounces is REALLY going to affect your bottom line that much? stupid accountants, anywhoo solid beer pours dark almost black with a thick nitrogeny head, tastes good, similar to Guinness but better in my opinion. My mom uses this for cooking, I use it for drinking. Solid would be again

Shared 14.9 oz. can. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a creamy fine-grained beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt, with faint hints of chocolate and coffee. Palate is a bit thin. Disappointing.

JorisPPattyn (9673) - Ursel, BELGIUM - MAY 31, 2016
Draught Very dense, ultra-fine beige-cream head over jet-black beer. Good burnt/stout nose with some black chocolate, roasted coffee and old wood. Taste is much more mildly roasted, if not really sweetish. Finish sports a bit of charcoal. Medium bodied, quite slick, good carbonation, if the texture is less creamy than I seem to remember. The quintessential Corcaigh stout, amen to Beamish.

darbeer75 (707) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - MAY 30, 2016
Aroma: classic stout aroma with chocolate and a little booze; Appearance: rich, off white head over black body; Taste: surprisingly tasteless - perhaps Ive been drinking imperial stouts too much recently; a little watery; Palate: heavy body without substance; Overall: not one to buy again.

DwarfeD (3060) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - MAY 27, 2016
Draught at De Zeemeeuw, Amsterdam. Pitch black with a medium soapy tan head. Light to medium body with low to moderate carbonation. Nice subtle bitter and sweet tones. Smooth coffee and chocolate, roasted malts and some caramel. Good stout.
