Typical nitrogenized stout, with initial sandy looking cascades. Otherwise it’s black, and the one finger head is permanent. Roasted toffee and nut aroma. Basic dark malty taste, mainly coffee notes. Unfortunately overly light and watery, and not very dry. Preferable to the ’other’ Irish stout for flavor, thought not body.

Легенда из Ирландии. Murphys имеет достаточно жженый вкус со слабым копченым послевкусием. Пиво очень плотное, не питкое.

Tap at Troms Airport. Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, malt and some bread. Sweet with a chocolate and coffee end.

jooilakon (229) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2017
Tap at Allstar Sportsbar, Jakobsberg. Notes of caramel and subtle coffee. White cream head and black body. Taste is a creamy body with caramel and smooth coffee, quite similar to Guinness.

Looks really nice in the glass, with its nitro foam and black color. Aroma is kinda weak: roasted malt, a bit of chocolate and stale coffee. Has some low bitterness, and a dry finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Taste is nothing special, usual for a commercial stout: watery coffee, roasted malts, just a little sign of hops. Nothing special.

There aren’t enough dry stouts and though this isn’t my favorite, its certainly solid. Very smooth mouthfeel, very roasty, light chocolate sweet finish. Tried for the first time back in 2008.

On draft at Cat’s Eye, Fells Point. Pours very dark brown/black with a creamy light brown head. Roasty, coffee nose. Light milk chocolate notes, mild malt. Silky texture. Smooth, creamy, milk chocolate finish.

Smooth like a nice chocolate shake, better than Guinness, but nothing overall interesting about this stout.

puren (1185) - Gdańsk, POLAND - AUG 19, 2017
PREZENTACJA: bardzo ciemno brązowe, piana na azocie - pięknym gradientem przechodzi z bieli do barwy piwa, zbita, kremowa, długo się trzyma, ładnie oblepia szkło;
AROMAT: delikatny, słodkawy - troszkę kawowej paloności, nuta mleczna;
ODCZUCIE: ciało średnie, płaskie, gładkie i krągłe;
SMAK: za aromatem, w zasadzie bez goryczki;
OGÓLNIE: pustka i nuda, pije się je dla samego picia.
