COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Murray’s Angry Man Pale Ale is a classic US pale ale. Australian, English and German malts balance the huge citrus/pine hop aroma and flavour strongly influenced by generous use of US Centennial and New Zealand Motueka and Pacifica hops. A brilliant light-golden colour, Murray’s Angry Man Pale Ale has a full-bodied finish and complex character. This is well balanced with biscuity/toffee flavours from selected caramalts.

Pours a Hazy, Dirty-Gold colour. Aroma. can smell tropical fruits, though its a very weak aroma. Strait away i taste a smooth biscuity caramel flavour, followed by a nice grapefruit bitterness, with also some tropical fruit flavours in there. Overall. Smooth and easy drinking from start to finish with plenty of flavour to still appreciate.

Pours hazy amber, low carbonation and a small fast fading head. No lacing. Aroma of English ale malts and caramel, some fruity notes. Tastes is very malty, sweet ale malts and caramel, not too strong on hops, some floral and citrusy notes, quite mild. Medium bitterness in the end, light body, thin feel, flat carbonation. Not bad but not too interesting.

One of the better tasting pale ales out there. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Enjoyed but nothing to write home about. Yellow beer colour white foam. Some slight citrus aroma but not huge.

Golden in colour with thin, bubbly head. Toffee fruit aromas. Lots of toffee to taste too, some hop fruit but not too much, slight bitterness lingers. Very light and refreshing.

Bottle - very low hop load - barely any discernible flavour either of hops or malt - watery bodied - if I had closed my eyes, I could have thought this was a middle of the road golden ale or a half decent lager... but US style pale ale? Bollocks.

Coming back to this one for the first time in a few years, it’s a little sweeter than I remembered. The aroma is apricot, ripe tangerine, grain, lemon and a little cut grass late. The grainy flavour and the lemony hops are prominent in the mouth, and that tangerine comes through a little too. Not nearly as good as I remembered.

[backlog] 13-01-15 // bottle at Button Bar, Melbourne. Light hazy golden. Light hoppy nose. Malty, then light hop aroma, citric, light fruit. Light bitter.

Nuts, spruce, grass, some citrus aromas. Maybe some cheese. Nice cloudy pale gold with good carbonation. Mild bitterness and umami. Seems like an undecided beer, without a prevailing flavour or a balance of several flavours.

A pleasant beer with easy drinking subtle flavours and with some bitterness. From a bottle. Well worth drinking on a warm day.
