COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A recently created style in the USA, Icon 2IPA is made in the American/Imperial Indian Pale Ale Style. Icon 2IPA is an extreme beer - extensive hopping creates intense citrus/passionfruit/peppery characters in the flavour and aroma balanced by sweet biscuity malt, which finishes with full bodied, rich and with a rounded bitterness. At 7.5% alcohol, Icon 2IPA is a beer to be savoured.

Murkey golden amber colour. Foamy white head. Huge malt profile yet surprisingly not overly heavy. The hop-malt balance is perfect in this. So much so that my friend who dislikes IPA’s enjoyed it. Passionfruit and citrus sweetness, pine, and some tartness balances sweet caramel malt. Delicious

Bottle at home, thanks to Wingmanwillis for hoiking this one back, 27/05/14. Murky orange amber with a well appointed off white covering that settles in for the night. Nose is dank hop tones, bitter citrics, grapefruit, bitter orange, light mineral tones, bitter tropicals. Taste comprises bitter orange marmalade - kind of on the turn, dank hoppage, sticky pine, caramel malt, tarte apricot, bitter grapefruit, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in the close. This one grew on me, I wasn’t too taken at first but it proved to a be a half decent dank tropicana fuelled DIPA but a good few notches short of a great.

Didn't really enjoy the flavour of this beer. The hoops were very over powering . Won't be getting it again

Bottle - Hazy Amber Gold in colour. Very Fruity; intense zesty citrus grapefruit and orange, passion fruit. Very Hoppy; piney resinous and spicy peppery hops. Malty; sweet biscuity malt, caramel. Nice fruit/hop/malt balance. Sweet citrus fruity hoppy throughout leading to a dry hoppy finish. Very drinkable; not extreme. Nice DIPA!

Very malty for an IPA. But this doesn't take away from what is a good beer. Very big front, not much chop on the nose but big finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy deep orange beer, aery irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. aroma: pretty soapy, grassy, wet hops. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: sweet sugary start, malty, very soapy, bitter, alcohol. Aftertaste: very bitter, dry, bit fruity, sweet, honey, some alcohol, some grapefruit peel, more sweetness after drinking more sips.

The best beer in the world, bar none!!! I’ve been drinking beer all my life and never have I had a better beer. Torpedo comes close, but not better. Well done Shawn. Disappointed with flat beer in the stubbies, but consistently great on tap. Earthy, Malty, Spicey. Warms the cockles of the heart. Yum.

Tap @ The Taphouse Sydney. Cloudy gold/brown with a thick off-white head and heavy lacing. Big tropical citrus, passionfruit and pine resin aromas with a caramel malt backing. Strong hop notes of passionfruit, citrus, spice and resinous pine along with a solid biscuity malt backbone. Great Aussie example. Plenty of flavour yet very approachable.

Mild fruity aroma, very strong flavours of hops a very full flavoured beer to be sipped not smashed. Quite strong and smooth too.
