Murray’s Whale Ale is a refreshing wheat beer with a twist. Its high percentage of malted and unmalted wheat and aromatic late hop profile gives a unique take on a session strength ale. A classic light body, creamy mouthfeel and refreshing citris flavour. This is balanced with assertive late hopping, giving a fresh, light tropical fruit aroma and cleansing dry finish.

Murray’s Whale Ale is light gold in colour and lightly filtered to give it a sparkling appearance.

Draft. Cloudy pale yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of banana bubblegum. Taste is bittersweet lemon.

mcberko (18950) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 11, 2016
On tap at Murray’s, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out a crisp biscuity malt and a touch of hops. Flavour is clean with not much going on, including crisp crackery malt. A touch of dry hoppiness. Clean and smooth, but pretty boring. Meh.

Bottle from Antarabangsa Enterprise, George Town, Penang. Poured a clear medium amber with a short-lived frothy white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is malt, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light, watery, dry cardboard, fizzy, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation.

motelpogo (8031) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - MAR 3, 2014
on tap at bob’s farm. american style wheat - pale golden with a thin head; no discernible yeast character and no wheat malt presence to stand up to the tinned fruit hop character. not much of a beer but i do like my whale ale t-shirt

mkel07 (6385) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 10, 2010
330ml bottle. Low level white head which is unusual for the style. Golden amber in colour with gentle bubblegum aromas and a crisp light dry flavour and a slight aftertaste. Average without being great.

TimE (6130) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAR 8, 2013
slightly cloudy golden color. Very smooth wheat. Easy drinking and refreshing. Nice

hawthorne00 (4113) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 29, 2010
Bottle. Slightly hazy yellow/ orange with a decent white head. Aroma has lemon and white pepper. Crisp, light and refreshing with a spicy dry finish. A little wheaty sourness and some nectarine sweetness, but it’s really the citrus and spice that dominates. Fine dust-cutter.
