COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
""""Inspired by the great stouts favoured by Russian Imperial Court, Murray’s “Wild Thing” Imperial Stout is a beer fit for a Czar. A massive, intense drinking experience. The colour is black. Totally black. The heart of darkness. Impossible to see through even when held up to the light – nothing insipid about this beer. Aromas of strong dark chocolate, a little fruitiness from the hops and yeast and some rumminess from the alcohol. The flavour is an intense hit of mocha – bitter dark chocolate bordering on coffee. Some malt sweetness but an aggressive hop bitterness and roast grain bite to balance. And then there’s the mouthfeel… Full bodied is an understatement. Massive mouthfillling malt that almost overwhelms, before the freight train of the bitterness from the hops and the roast acidity kicks in to clean up the palate. A tiny batch of a huge beer – only 1100 bottles brewed. A beer to savour if you dare!""""

On tap at Biero. Full marks, I absolutely love the slightly salty taste. Aromas of coffe, butter, chocolate, mussels, with hints of alcohol. Taste has a sweet start, with salty notes, and bitterness taking over for a very long finish. Palate is velvety, and full bodied. Black, with a frothy off-white head.

Complex beer whilst being balanced. Hides the alcohol content well. Matches well with bbq red or smoked meats or chocolate

The tasting notes are spot on. Aromas of strong dark chocolate, a little fruitiness from the hops and yeast and some rumminess from the alcohol. Tap at The Local Taphouse Sydney - Thoroughly impressed - not at all heavy but not thin - kinda toned down Rogue Double Choc Stout (which ain’t no bad thing) - alcohol invisible - bit of mocha - if this beer was a girl, she’d be a beautiful shy Goth girl.

This may have been the best beer I ever did taste... Need to take notes at the time of drinking ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It’s Black. It has rich dark chocolate and coffee roasted malt, some sweetness and dry grain thats matched perfectly by the hop bitterness, some alcohol presence from the 10% stated on the somewhat ordinary label. Dont need a flash label as this beer does its own talking. Purchased a case 14.10.10 and most will go to cellar for a year or so [maybe]. Sensational RIS get some.
