Aroma fresh clean with pleasant citrus notes. Alcohol is present but well build in. Sweet balancing bottom. Soft hoppy aromatic walls.7+
Appearance nice amber, clear with plus sized white top. Some lace noted. 4-.
Flavor and Palate : Medium full bodied. Decent hoppy feel up front. Clean with plenty of citrus, lime. Zesty sides. Slight alcohol showing with time. Bit simple in concept but well done.

Cask. (Rating #4573)

[4767-20120914] Tap. Toasted orange sludge aroma. Clear, bright orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Bitter orange lemon bitter hops flavour. Medium body is quite boozy. Very tasty and bold. (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0

On tap at BarHop. Hazy gold pour, small white head. Solid nose of lemon, orange and a little grapefruit. The hops do fad as it warms. Turns sweeter, and the malts come through. Cereals and pine are what is left near the end. High bitterness and resin finish.

good dipa but could use some work, slightly astringent alcohol and lacking much nose.

solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - NOV 19, 2012
Smells very fruity - apples and pears with tangerine. A whole fruit punch in this scent. Pours clear orange with wonderful carpet lacing. Lots of florals in the aroma. Taste is pretty hoppy-bitter with a little boozy sweetness. This is a great beer - if only they bottled this as the Twice as Mad Tom. Tap at Bar Hop.

Sammy (12091) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2012
Bottle courtesy of Jon. Golden with thick lace, very lacey. Very hoppy aroma. The hops have faded a bit, so it comes across as a strong ale. Good hop delivery, which was orange-biased. Bitter and sippable yet tasty and drinkable. The sediment was the best part.

AGAquino (667) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2012
Courtesy of Samy. 12 oz bottle. Very clear light amber, slight foamy head. Extreme aroma of hops, though not as pronounced in the flavour - somewhat faded. Flavour balanced

HogTownHarry (6622) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - OCT 30, 2012
On draught at Bar Hop. Hazy copper-amber with a solid frothy off-white head. A bit barley wine-ish; sweet heavy malt, floral bitterness, boozy. Taste - very much Mad Tom with more alcohol and a tad sweeter. Average body, good carbonation, nice long floral bitter finish. More aroma hopping and less sweetness and huh-hay! - looking forward to Double Mad Tom!!!
