COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the region it’s from, our all-malt Muskoka Craft Lager is a getaway from the average. That’s because it’s carefully aged and handcrafted to be uniquely flavourful, yet remarkably easy-drinking. Made from North American hops and malt, and winner of Canadian Lager of the Year, this delicately balanced thirst quencher is the refreshing departure you’ve been waiting for

473ml can. Gold pour, small white head with modest lacing. Aroma has grains, grass and straw notes. Taste is pretty grainy, some sweetness in the middle, faint hop note. Grainy aftertaste, light body, lots of carbonation. To my surprise this was pretty tasty for a pale lager,

Can from summer 6-pack sampler. Drunk cold out of the can after a long day of slooooow as hell jury duty. Straight forward sugar malt lager. Sweet bread & minimal hops. Thankfully it’s cold & wet. Think I need a shower.

(Rating #7629)

Pours pale gold with NO head. Aroma is light citrus. Taste is sweet and sour with a dry finish. There are notes of buttery toffee, lemon, some pepper and grassy hops. Fairly thin bodied with lots of carbonation. It’s more flavourful than the typical light lager but the flavours aren’t particularly complimentary.

Can. Clear golden body, medium beige head with poor retention, no lacing. Aroma of grains, malts, diacetyl, hints of lemon zest. Taste of sweet grains, light bread, hints of honey and some citrus. Uninspiring.

Drank directly from can. More pale gold then I thought it would be, Smells like a lager. No hop notes to be found. Taste is well balanced, not bitter. Great carbonation. No aftertaste. This is just a quality beer that is easy to drink. MB. The Beer Bear-on.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2016 473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a thin, bubbly, white head that thins quickly. Aroma has notes of sweet grain, lager esters, slight caramel, and traditional bittering hops. Taste is balanced well with notes of bready caramel, earthy/spicy hops, slight grass and hay, fruity lager yeast, and a quick ending. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a mildly dry finish. Overall a well crafted lighter lager.

AleRider78 (1130) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 1, 2016
Pours a large bubbly foamy head and has a yellowish pale golden appearance. Has some pretty wheaty and grassy like aromas. Flavours are very malty, with lemon like bitterness. Some tangy citrus flavours, but fairly mild. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Not bad, but prefer other Muskoka products.

massingasetta (744) - München, GERMANY - JUN 26, 2016
This beer had little foam but was crafty enough to be called a craft beer. Not quite what I expected, as the foamlessness was also evident in the taste pearls not passing on enough hops or bitterness. A beer that has a lot of good intentions but isn’t fully there yet.

It definitely is a lager, and not a very exciting one either, but of a lemony aroma and a bit of a nutty taste but also quite watery.
