On tap at Lancaster Smokehouse. Not much aroma to speak of, but the little there is has metallic and roasty notes. Dark brown, clear, little head. Taste is smooth, creamy, sweet, leading into some less-than-desirable flavours... metal and "cheap milk chocolate" is the best way I can describe it. I remember this being better, and was disappointed. This brewery’s newer offerings are vastly different from its older ones. yrstruly (333) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 12, 2013
Pours deep brown with a soft butterscotch head. The aroma is of caramel, toasty malt, a bit of sulfur. The taste is toasty-malty, medium bodied with a hint of chocolate and a slight herbal hop finish. Nothing crazy, but this is pretty well-balanced. Dark, roasted malts, bitter chocolate and slight coffee notes, very flavourful beer. I should have more of these in the fridge. czar (9250) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 11, 2012

Dark brown body with ruby red hue, beige micro-head (in the miniscus only). smoky aroma with notes of chocolate, fully roasted sweet malts, caramel. flavor is lightly bitter. thin somewhat oily mouthfeel with lasting bitter smokey finish. patricks110 (2515) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 31, 2012
A nice little dark brew. A bit of chocolate malt with a light bittering malt. Well balanced and a good little session brew, but nothing special at all. Light roast, toasted grain malts...thats about it.

473ml can. Dark brown in colour, decent creamy beige cap, decent lacing. Aroma is chocolatey with nut and caramel and light coffee. Taste has caramel sweetness, some nuts, some mild coffee beans and chocolate notes. Finish has some light roasted notes. Light body, maybe a bit thin, average carbonation. Decent and simple brown ale. gramity (1675) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 9, 2012
Dark with a light tan head that doesn’t stay. Not much in the nose. Good mouthfeel, with some roast coffee in the finish.
