Pours a dark black color with a off white brownish head. Smells or roasted and chocolate malts. Tastes of chocolate and coffee. Very easy drinking beer. reebtogi (6403) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 3, 2012
355ml bottle pours almost black in color with a vigorously poured finger of light beige head that leaves some spotty lacing. Aroma is roasted grains and coffee with hints of chocolate. Taste is roasted coffee and earthy hop bitterness with a light chocolate malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with modest carbonation leaving a nice tingling sensation on the tongue. A quality brew that would have been great except for an undesirable aftertaste as it warmed. Bendrixian (1514) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2012
500 ml can. very dark brown to light black colour. some roast and chocolate aroma but it has a slight hint of smog or something manufactured as well. some roast on the palate, medium bodied at best, has a certain light sweetness and chocolate. It’s a good guzler but not without it’s faults. rob6239 (677) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 21, 2012
Nof bad.. Pours clear and dark with just a little white head. Aroma is strong of chocolate and coffee. Taste is mild and sweet. Finishes strong with the chocolate. PictouRx (186) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 22, 2012
Sample pack bought, 355ml bottle poured dark dark brown to almost black, medium head, average carbonation. Aroma is chocolate, earthy, musty, all in one, strange. Taste, chocolate, coffee roast dark. Texture is oily, creamy, finish is strait up coffee/chocolate linger. Not bad overall, I like.

Single can purchased from an LCBO in Ottawa, Ontario on 06/06/2012. Colour: Very dark brown, if not black with low-ish lightly browned head. Nose: Wave after wave of rich milk cocoa is the most redeeming quality, but its not without an odd scent of glue, and a whiff of grandma’s perfume. Taste: Medium sweet, medium-light bitter, medium-light sour. Mmmm...no skipping a beat for the milk chocolate, as it comes on immediately in the mouth. A grape-tartness mid palate. Highly roasted malt late and a savory long finish. Sweeter than your average dark but not to the deteriment of quality! Digital_Aura (228) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2012
473ml can. Pour produces minimal head - lets just call it lacing. Smells slightly sweet like chocolate. Rich brown (Lovibond 36). Tastes amazing! So complex - dark chocolate, hops, espresso, caramel. It's all working marvelously together. Perfect carbonation. Nice balance. shaynsawchuk (713) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 6, 2012
473 mL can. Bitter chocolate and espresso notes on the nose, burnt sugar, toast and licorice laced malt. Pours a great brown/black color with a full blotchy white/brown head. Full bodied and sweet, roasty bitter finish with plenty of fizz. Surprisingly clean finish and taste. A nice dark. blipp (9784) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 27, 2012
Bottle at the TURD tasting. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Dark malty aroma, with toasted grains and some nutty notes. The flavor has a light roast, toasted grains, some nutty sweetness, and light floral notes. Pretty good. jredmond (8770) - New York, New York, USA - APR 25, 2012
