Appearance: Opaque brown, huge beige, frothy head, fair amount of carbonation. Aroma: Weak. Subtle notes of vanilla, soy sauce, chocolate. Not much there. Palate: Medium bodied, though on the thin side. Doesn’t linger at all. Kinda watery. Taste: slightly bitter. Blah boring.

from a can. It’s kind of like a faux stout.pours a nutty brown colour with a healthy head on it. malty aroma laced with hints of coffee and chocolate. taste initially is malty, nutty bitterness but this quickly vanishes, Who knows where it goes as the tail end is a smooth bitter aftertaste, I;ve no idea what happens in the middle. drinkable but i’m not really sure what niche the ale is trying to fill.

Strangebrewer (1344) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2011
can. Poured dark brown with ruby tint. Thin brown head. Roasty, coffeeish aroma. Oddly light mouthfeel. Roasted malt flavour, a bit sour. Mild metallic bitter finish, but quite drinkable.

A little bitter, a touch of sourness. Certainly decent, and leaves a nice finish.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2011 Bottle. Much better than some of Muskoka’s other entries. Dark and a little bitter.

400ml can. Deep brown pour, disappearing head. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is roasty, smokey, a little nuttiness too. Nothing too outstanding, but a pretty enjoyable beer.

500mL Can from the LCBO. 4.1%. Dark brown pour with a bubbly tan head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is coffee, and roasted malt. Taste is strong roast malts, hint of coffee and nuttiness. Finish is dry, somewhat bland but a lingering malty sweetness. Just OK.

Viper666 (3289) - Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 3, 2011
Canette 473ml.

Can. Innisfil, Ontario, Canada. A nice little surprise right here. Pour is jet black with plenty of head, though it’s gone in a hurry. Nice aroma - roasted malt, syrup, chocolate. Nice and smoky going down, some fruit, and a little hop kick on the end to round it off. Would like this out of a fresh bottle. Nicely done!

Gethinbeer (2452) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 22, 2011
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2013 Very dark pour with a large frothy white head . Fruit, berries and liquorice aroma. Thin body. Berry flavour. A little to sweet it makes the beer sickly. Not really enjoying this beer.
