Le liquide s’apparente à un cola. Aucune construction mousseuse.

Can from LCBO. Pours a deep copper brown. With a thin tan head. Very sweet grainy malty nose almost like first runnings. The mouth has some good body more then medium, but its very thin around the edges. Slightly sweet with a decent edge of bitter. Drinkable, though not repeatable.

(Rating #3449)

Bottle from jerc - thx dude. Pours out a very dark brown with a medium sized foamy light brown cap and slight spotty lacing. Clear with a touch of sediment or whatever. Clean caramel aroma with a surprising nose of chocolate, a very balanced dose mellow roast, hint of fruit and a light sweetness that seems tied into the caramel. Tastes pretty good and stays very mellow an unassuming. The flavours all seem equally apparent which lends to more of a hard to place taste. Roast, nice mellow fruit and a touch of hops that are hardly bitter what so ever, caramel with a bit of chocolate, hint of spice. Lightly carbonated and smooth and leaves a sweet caramel roast after taste. A plain beer but a very good plain beer.

Can, sent to me from Kingston Ontario. Dark brown, golden highlights, medium off-white head. Dark caramel and chocolate aromas, nice intensity. Equal parts chocolate and fruity caramel flavour, medium sweetness, medium bodied. Another nice Muskoka brew.

473ml can. Not a particularly memorable beer, mostly due to an overly metallic feel to it that took away from the sweetness I often enjoy in brown ales. Good otherwise, with flavours of nuts and a hint of chocolate. Did the trick.

Had to pour this one out, very malty, I believe it was a poor malt choice, this beer could use a make over. not recommend

473ml can. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is heavy on malt and straw, with lesser notes of cocoa, earth, and a hint of what smells like "off" peanuts. Taste is upfront with coffee, chocolate syrup, slightly sweet, and some straw, coffee, and biscuit in the off-dry finish.

(can) clear dark amber, medium light brown head; aroma of roast, simple lightly sweet flavour with long light bitter finish, overall uninspired

Pours very dark brown. Medium-thin light brown head fizzles for a bit then is gone. Aromas of hazelnuts, toast, maybe even something like cherries? Lively bitter roastiness. Very dry beer. Slight metallic tinge to it. My big problem though is with the mouthfeel - just absurdly thin.
