Bottle from LCBO. Appearance: Creamy rocky pour with beige-white head and nice lacing. Aroma: Straightforward yet effective earthy hops profile with some shy caramel malts notes. Taste: Resinous hops dominates this one along with some well integrated toffee malts. Somewhat tannic. Palate: Medium bodied and low-med. carbonation. Overall: Good bitter and fresh IPA. Quite unidimensional. lukin (668) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 4, 2011
750 ml bottle. Deep amber colour, smallish head. Aroma is bright and fresh; malts, spice, some light fruitiness? Taste is well balanced between rich malt and long bitter hop finish. A little warming alcohol as well. Very good. gramity (1684) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 4, 2011
Amber pour with an off-white head. The aroma is lightly spicy with a nice fresh hoppiness. Fairly assertive bitterness with a nice lingering hoppiness. Fresh malt and a bit of toasted malt character as well. Quite a nice surprise. Boutip (6533) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 24, 2011
Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of fresh green Cascade hops with nice citrus and light resin notes is very well balanced. Taste is also a nice mix between some floral green hops notes with light citrus and resin notes back by a solid malt backbone with semi-dry caramel notes. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Another well balanced beer by an Ontario brewer who keep surprising me. piscator34 (2647) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 24, 2011
Bottled sample. Clear orange in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of dried grassy hops, orange peel, and nutty pale malts. A mix of pale and caramel malts start things off in the mouth before the grassy+resiny+mild citrus of the hops takes over. Finishes dry with a sharp bitterness on the back end. I like the overall hop level here, but the grassy quality of them is somewhat over the top. Not bad, but could be much better with a different hop blend.

Bottle shared with northropfrye. Bitter and citrusy. Lovely burnt caramel colour. Excellent frothy head. Not my favourite, but it’s not bad. A sipping beer. northropfrye (3693) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 21, 2011
UPDATED: APR 7, 2012 Bottle. Dark reddish brown colour with nice off white head. Aroma is hoppy and fresh. Taste is bitter, citrusy, a little sweet. Nice. Eructoblaster (4371) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 21, 2011
Bottle - 750ml. Beautiful dark copper body with a lasting off-white creamy head. Fresh hoppy taste with woody and brown sugar hints. Taste is dominated by hoppy flavors and carries grapefruit and grainy notes. Ends with a sharp, long bitter finish. Well done. yumyum (221) - barrie, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2011
decent brew but nothing exceptional. Pours a nice amber colour with moderate head and lingering lacing. Nice grassy nose and a nice decent hoppiness in the taste. Again mainly hay/grassy flavours. beerlfry (32) - - OCT 17, 2011
Pours dark with moderate head. Smells strongly of hops and has some bitterness. Little mouthfeel. Short finish with little to no bitterness.
