This seasonal pale ale is pretty enjoyable. Nice large bottle so it can be shared with friends. Nice hoppy aroma and flavor and not overly bitter. teddybeer (3891) - Madrid, SPAIN - JAN 26, 2014
Dark coppery colour with a frothy light beige head, good lasting and nice lacing. Aroma has notes od light toasted malts, moderate caramelish, floral and light resins hops, some dark fruits and yeast. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning, notes of yeast and slightly ripe fruit, floral and moderate bittery notes in the aftertaste. randallpink (13) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 21, 2014
served from bottle into pint glass - 2013 vintage
A - slightly hazy copper/auburn, two fingers tan head that has great retention and slowly turns into a nice rocky covering to the beer, leaves amazing amount of lacing on the glass with amazing rings all the way down, passes medium amount of light
S - heavy on the caramel malts, toffee, biscuits. earthy and piny, grassy hops off the pour which make way to some more orchard fruit type of smells as it warms, citrus, pineapple, mango
T/M - malts, bread, caramel, toast, brown sugar, fruity hops, very sweet when it hits then tongue then the bitterness quickly takes over and dominates, herbal and piny hops linger in the mouth, medium mouthfeel, lowish carbonation, creamy, sticky, slightly astringent (as the hops take over from the sweetness of the malts), spicy bitterness, slightly dry finish
o - a wonderfully crafted beer! i’ve had quite a few of these over the past couple months and since this was my last bottle i decided to give it a review. all i can say is i can’t wait til next year to get some more! so much happening in the complexity of this beer but doesn’t seem crowded. flavours seemed to be popping up with each sip. would recommend and buy again!

Bottle to pint glass
Some tropical fruit, orange, and grapefruit, spices, and some caramel and brown sugar. Deep amber with a frothy off-white to tan head and some particulates.
Grapefruit, brown sugar, grains, and pepper. A nice smooth (to me) hoppiness at the end. A little chalky and astringent, but nice and creamy.
To be honest, this shocked me on how good it is. I’ve rated a few Muskoka beers, but tried a bunch more and I’m generally pleased with what I’m having. Mad Tom is a nice beer at any time, so an APA, I thought would be a lot lighter, but this has good hop character but it’s got a well balanced sweetness to it too. The only thing that kills it for me is the palate. My bottle is a few months old and the particulates were given a pass, but the chalkiness hinders the experience for me. I do want to imagine that a fresh pour would be looking and tasting better. sudomorph (1175) - Barrie, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 26, 2013
750ml 2013 bottle from the LCBO. Pours a semi-translucent, ruby/brown with an eggshell, two finger, frothy head. Slight sediment floating around. Aroma is large with notes of sweet dark fruits, yeast, citrus, and bread. Taste is very balanced. Starts out with a but of caramel and fruit then moves to more floral and citrus fruity hops then ends with a slightly spiced, hop bitter. Medium body and carbonation. A touch syrupy in the mouth with an effervescent carbonation. Overall good. Complex with a lot of flavours blended together. Would be interested to try it again next year.

Yellowish head atop a mahogany body. Nose of orange and ... garlic? Good resiny pine flavour but it’s odd, there is little "fresh" about this Harvest Ale. A very nice beer. AgentAle (1780) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 27, 2013
