UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle via trade with Andrew - thanks! Slightly hazy orange pour with a soapy white head. Aroma is pine resin and mild caramel malt. Little bit of citrus also creeps in on the taste. The finish could be a little bit more balanced but it’s far from being super bitter. Quite enjoyable.

16-ounce can from LCBO in Toronto pours slightly hazy orange-gold with small off-white head and lacing. Aroma: super sweet-smelling with honey, toffee. Flavor: brown sugar, caramel, sweet pine. Mouthfeel: medium- to full-bodied. Tasty, yet too sweet, even for a West Coast-style IPA. An IPA should be more hop-forward.

Had a nice bite of hoppy flavour that I like in IPAs. Slightly Carmel and I would buy this again.

Bottle at Mondial de la biere 2017, Montreal. Small head, golden/amber colour, hazy. Aroma: citrus, grapefruit peel, pine, spruce. Bitter taste, medium body, long finish, lively. Alright, could have been more bitter.

Bottle from Community Beverages. Amber pour with small, creamy head. Dry malty aroma, hint of leather. Taste is dry and dusty, malty, toffee, some nuttiness. Sharp bitter bite is a fine razor cut at the finish. Still dry at the finish. Very English, and tasty too.

I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours copper with an off-white head. The aroma is citrus, earthy hops, and some caramel. The taste is earthy and bitter hops with grapefruit and some caramel. It’s subtle and nicely balanced with nice carbonation. This stood out and was a good beer.

(Rating #7607)

More bite than I require. Resinous, chewy, and powerful. Nose is citrus and malt. Taste of citrus and malt. A required taste for a rich and resinous beer.
