While the legend of Mad Tom is laden with mystery and intrigue, one thing remains clear: Mad Tom did things his own way. Twice as Mad Tom is an aggressively twice-dry-hopped Imperial India Pale Ale, that delivers a definitive hop aroma & unabashedly big bold flavour. We brew this beer with the road less traveled in mind, and in the spirit of old Mad Tom...we make no bones about it.

Pours a clear yellow/golden color with a small white head. Very strong citrus aroma. Mainly tangerine, with a bit of grapefruit. Some peaches as well. Medium sweetness on the palate. Good carbonation. Small to medium bitter finish. Very fruity and easy drinkable for a 8.4% beer. Very very nice

Pours a lightly hazy gold. Has a malty and light citrus hop aroma. A strong malty flavor of fruits with pine, caramel, and hops. A dry malt and light bitter hop aftertaste.

Cuivre et trs trouble, quelques notes dagrumes au nez, une grande amertume sur un sucre satisfaisant. On sent peu le 8,4% dalcool. Au-del de mes attentes.

Acquired from trade with Chopz. :) Pours a dark golden amber colour, with a nice finger thick creamy head. Good lacing and retention. Huge hoppy citrus aromas right in your face. Nice floral hop notes. Has a very hoppy flavour, pretty strong, with some malts but much less distinct. Hops are what its about. Very tasty and mostly just a tad hoppier than the Mad Tom. A bit bitter on the palate, but not in a bad way. Quite refreshing and the alcohol is well hidden. Thank you Muskoka! love it.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Maxs place. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Aroma of graininess, malt, and stale hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, graininess, bitter stale hops. Medium-bodied. BBD is 7/16, but already it seems way too old.

355ml. bottle from the L.C.B.O. in Ottawa. The color is a clear amberwith a thin beige head. The aroma is of hops and more hops, peaches, herbs and some citrus fruits. The taste as above plus added malt to give it a good finish.A good double I.P.A.

A ton of pine and some orangey citrus on the nose. All resiny bitter hops on the palate. One of my all-time favourite IIPAs

Tangerine yellow-orange color. Lace sticks to the glass. Aroma is dank, oily hops, with a spicy malt (like a rye). There is a second wave of citrus that sneaks into the back of the nostril cave. The flavor is like pure resin: hop alpha oils are practically floating on top like an oil spill. It has a sticky, woody hop that is just supreme. A hint of something akin to apple skins? The feel is extremely sticky and oily. Its magnificent.

Canada, eh? I knew hockey was awesome but who knew Canadian beer was awesome? This beer here is a nice dipa. Great hop aroma to go with a great hop taste. Palate is medium bodied making a easy drinker. Overall, Im glad I got to try this. I would like to try Mad Tom. I bet it is solid as well.
