While the legend of Mad Tom is laden with mystery and intrigue, one thing remains clear: Mad Tom did things his own way. Twice as Mad Tom is an aggressively twice-dry-hopped Imperial India Pale Ale, that delivers a definitive hop aroma & unabashedly big bold flavour. We brew this beer with the road less traveled in mind, and in the spirit of old Mad Tom...we make no bones about it.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2015 Wow... intense hops to the nose, a power-packed grapefruit, citrus kick to the tongue! How bad boy is this beer? Itll pull down your pants, steal your lunch money and hit you in the face with a dodgeball. And thats after it makes out with your Mom and posts it on YouTube. Twice as Bad and Mad than well ever be. One of the finest IPAs in Canada

Bottle LCBO: opaque orange brown beer with beige head. Somewhat subdued Notes of hops, citrus fruit and alcohol. Taste has much more punch. Herbal, bready flavours with tropical fruit and hops. Intense, but enjoyable bitterness. Truly a well made dipa.

Ambr foncer avec une grande mousse beige stable. Larme de houblon agrum. Le got est sucr, des agrumes, avec une bonne amertume en finale.

Brilliant "embellishment" of the Legend of Mad Tom and a great beer from one of Canadas best Craft Breweries. Glad I smuggled it home. A real West Coast body and mouth feel...only downside is the aroma....it is very hidden/subdued...unlike Mad Tom.

355 ml bottle. Pours a lightly hazy orangeish pale amber with a resilient white head. Aroma is very hoppy, mostly citrus. Flavor is loads of sweet grapefruit, oranges, lime, pine tree, sweet lemon. Finish has a strong hoppy kick of lemon, pine and herbs. Lingering tropical fruit notes. Medium body, velvety and resinous mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very enjoyable.

Pours a very nice copper amber with little to no turbidity. There is a thin creamy off white head which dissipates quickly. Aromas are dominated by citrus and pine and hint at malts. Tastes full with a nice feel of the right balance of carbonation. Though its double dry hopped, this beer isnt a super hoppy rendition as you would expect, rather it tastes like it smells with a caramel slightly sweet finish that quickly transitions to bitter which lasts on the tongue.

Pours orange, thin head, strong malty aromas, lot more malty than hoppy. Taste lot of crystal malt, too much for my taste. Strong bitterness that stays, probably around 100 ibu. Mouthfeel is silky to oily. To much crystal, not for hop heads, but still a great beer, recomandable.

355 ml bottle. Pours a dark orange with moderate white head. Aromas of toffee, pink grapefruit, and pine. Bitter flavors of pine and resin with hints of orange peel and stoned fruit.
