COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
While the legend of Mad Tom is laden with mystery and intrigue, one thing remains clear: Mad Tom did things his own way. Twice as Mad Tom is an aggressively twice-dry-hopped Imperial India Pale Ale, that delivers a definitive hop aroma & unabashedly big bold flavour. We brew this beer with the road less traveled in mind, and in the spirit of old Mad Tom...we make no bones about it.

This is a disappointment. A little malty, a little boozy and a little hoppy. Pours reddish gold, very clear and lager like. Not much head but good lacing. Taste is a little bitter, not very complex. Palate very light. Was looking forward to this one but it didnt live up to the hype. Tap at volos.

Started a new rating on this one two years after buying this bottle. This double ages really well. The hop profile has changed but not diminished, adding elements of dankness and fruit rind - two great elements for a DIPA in my view. The malt and body have grown in richness with a dense caramel and apricot backbone working well with the hops. Stash away and see what happens!

Pours hazy orange-amber with a 1-finger off-white head. Citrus and piney hops aromas over a light note of caramel. Body is a little fuller than medium. Oily, with a dry finish. Resiny hops flavor over caramel malt. Maybe some citrus at the back.

Pale golden yellow pour with lots of white rocky head, very lively and lots of lacing .... Aroma of grapefruit, lemongrass, orange, caramel malts and light pine with hints of floral hop .... Tastes like a barrel aged IPA really different has a light vanilla like flavor, orange, grapefruit, lemon, rind and hints of a piney/floral hops .... Citrusy and rindy with solid balanced flavors .... Finish is citrusy with lingering malt and bitter dry hops ... Solid and tasty dbl IPA

Bright golden color with a smallish white head. Aromas of floor malt, Cedar and mild citrus. Full sweet start, with cedar, pine, lemongrass and mild oak. This reminds me of a few barrel-aged IPAs Ive had. Very traditional (IMHO). Fairly hot in the finish and linger. This one grows one me. Some mango, nectarine and light melon come out as it warms. I like the traditional vibes, but still seem to like the new school ways a bit more.

Pours a clear yellow/golden color with a small white head. Very strong citrus aroma. Mainly tangerine, with a bit of grapefruit. Some peaches as well. Medium sweetness on the palate. Good carbonation. Small to medium bitter finish. Very fruity and easy drinkable for a 8.4% beer. Very very nice

Cuivre et trs trouble, quelques notes dagrumes au nez, une grande amertume sur un sucre satisfaisant. On sent peu le 8,4% dalcool. Au-del de mes attentes.

Acquired from trade with Chopz. :) Pours a dark golden amber colour, with a nice finger thick creamy head. Good lacing and retention. Huge hoppy citrus aromas right in your face. Nice floral hop notes. Has a very hoppy flavour, pretty strong, with some malts but much less distinct. Hops are what its about. Very tasty and mostly just a tad hoppier than the Mad Tom. A bit bitter on the palate, but not in a bad way. Quite refreshing and the alcohol is well hidden. Thank you Muskoka! love it.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Maxs place. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Aroma of graininess, malt, and stale hops. Sweetish flavor with malt, graininess, bitter stale hops. Medium-bodied. BBD is 7/16, but already it seems way too old.
