355 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear amber with a full off-white foam.
Aroma: Rich crunchy malts, a touch of burnt sugar, big pine/resin hops, fairly fruity, caramel/toffee, some citrus, really nice.
Palate: Medium+ body, slick, fine but fairly full effervescence.
Flav.: Very solid caramel/toffee maltiness, a bit of burnt sugar, big juicy pine/fruity hops, really nice; dry with good bitterness, minimal alcohol (dangerous) and a long, malty, hoppy finish.
Might not be twice as good as the original, but close.
Orangey yellow pour. Has a strong pine aroma. Taste is very juicy and hoppy. More pine notes again. Lingering bitter finish. Very nice Arcanor (421) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2017

Pours very bold and bright, hazy gold orange, soft and sticky lacing. Aroma is juicy, dank, malty - orange, grapefruit, caramel, damp leaves - very faint compost note here. Taste is lovely - fruit juice, pine, toast, woody hop bitterness, big bitter hop finish that isnít offputting.
I always liked this one in the past, but I mustíve caught it on the right day for my review, cuz Iím loving this at the moment. Well above the regular Mad Tom, a very good beer in its own right. BrewWhatIWant (189) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 25, 2017
Pours a slightly hazy amber with a white head that thins and leaves some lacing. Aroma is citrus and sweet malts. Taste is sweet with a fairly mild bitterness. There are notes of bitter orange rind, sweet marmalade, and pungent pine in an excellent balance. The beer has a very light mouthfeel despite what seems like a full body. Much better than the lesser mad Tom if a bit excessive in its hops. mikkopen (1156) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 24, 2017
473 ml bottle. Hazy yellow colour, thick white head. Citrus-fruity, malty aroma with caramel and pine notes. The flavour is malty, with sweetish tangerine and notes of peaches, and a lingering bitter finish of resiny and floral hops. Good stuff.

Orange, small head, orange and marmalade aroma, orange flavor, bitter, mandarine, medium bodied. Gluepot (632) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 19, 2016 Started a new rating on this one two years after buying this bottle. This double ages really well. The hop profile has changed but not diminished, adding elements of dankness and fruit rind - two great elements for a DIPA in my view. The malt and body have grown in richness with a dense caramel and apricot backbone working well with the hops. Stash away and see what happens! Pours hazy orange-amber with a 1-finger off-white head. Citrus and piney hops aromas over a light note of caramel. Body is a little fuller than medium. Oily, with a dry finish. Resiny hops flavor over caramel malt. Maybe some citrus at the back. italianjohn (3113) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 10, 2016

Bright golden color with a smallish white head. Aromas of floor malt, Cedar and mild citrus. Full sweet start, with cedar, pine, lemongrass and mild oak. This reminds me of a few barrel-aged IPAs Iíve had. Very traditional (IMHO). Fairly hot in the finish and linger. This one grows one me. Some mango, nectarine and light melon come out as it warms. I like the traditional vibes, but still seem to like the new school ways a bit more.
