Pours black with light brown head. A faint aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. A strong chocolate taste that turns tart with cranberry, as well as some roasted malts. A dry malt and light tart aftertaste.

Pours a dark brown. Dark chocolate aroma and in the taste as well. Cranberries only come in towards the end but they are nice. Overall a good stout.

This beer is like all Muskoka beers, flavourless. It youre looking to get an 8% beer for $14 but dont like the taste of beer.. This is for you. I dont know how these guys make such flavourless beer, honestly. I thought all of their regular cans were bland, but maybe they showed their talent for a more expensive bottle... Wrong. It doesnt taste like chocolate or cranberries at all, its boring as hell. Go with a better local like Flying Monkeys or Forked River, because their beer has aroma and flavour. This beer sucks.

Opaque dark brown color, faint frothy 3 finger beige head that last around 5-10 minutes, with a good amount of lacing. Flavors of dark chocolate, cranberries and dark fruits, with some coffee and molasses, and faint red ale spices. Earthy and herbal. Smooth medium body with moderate carbonation. Strong finish of sugary earthy chocolate, and sharp bitter coffee. Does not feel fresh with lots of alcohol and very spicy. Still overall good quality stuff. Not very accessible, yet for an imperial stout, its quite soft. The flavors are very tasty, quite filling, and warming.

Had a pint at Sir John A in Ottawa Has a creamy brown coppery head, very small. Extremely dark appearance, almost completely black. Thick dirty lacing. Faint aromas of chocolate and malts, not much else to me. Flavours are abundant: chocolate and roasted malts dominate. The cranberry is coming through just slightly but noticeable enough. Mocha, toffee and nutmeg round it out. Coffee taste as well. Tasty and has a thickness in the mouthfeel. A hint of alcohol is apparent. Really good brew on a cold winter day.
