Scent of chocolate, wine, and dried fruit. Deep, dark ruby colour. Flavour of dark chocolate, red wine, cranberry, and coffee. Heavy body with low carbonation. A delicious sipping beer.

BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2017
Cotteridge tasting #3 on 20th May 2017. Cheers Dave (WingmanWillis) for this offering. Near black body, tanned topping. Chocolate nose with a cranberry twist, taste the same with a vanilla smoothness. Loads going on in this brew, liked it.

Scopey (14505) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2017
Bottle at Cotteridge Convention 2017. It pours near black with a medium beige head. The aroma is rich, sweet, cookie dough, cranberry, fruit cake and chocolate brownie. The taste is mellow, bitter - sweet, chocolate, chewy malt, liquorice, cookie dough, red berry and a hint of alcohol. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps lacks a touch of depth, but it is well-rounded and rather drinkable.

Kauge (1928) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 23, 2017
Bottle, LCBO. Bottled Sept 2016. Brown with small beige head. Aroma’s delicate, sourish of the cranberries, pretty low on sweetness considering all the sweet adjuncts. Tastes sourish sweet... Cocoa and cranberry bitterness in finish. Carbonation very modest, mouthfeel too thin, which kinda makes the booze shine through as it’s warmed. A disappointment.

3.9
Vighals (3912) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - FEB 20, 2017
Mørk brun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter mørk sjokolade, vanilje, kandis og noe kakao. Middels + i fylde. Lett bitterhet, kaffe, mørk sjokolade, noe brent karamell og noe salt lakris. Middels lang
