Dark mahogany colour with an off-white head. Aromas of dusty cocoa, licorice and dark caramels. It’s a lovely smell, but one I wish there was more of. For a beer of this abv, I wish there was a bigger body, but for that, there’s no faults in this beer. Lovely darker malt flavours and a nice twinge of bitterness toward the end.
I rather enjoyed this.
Nice black beer, with little head to brag about. Pleasant smokiness on the aroma and flavour, with roasted malts, some dark chocolate, tobacco, wood and ashes. Alcohol very inconspicuous. gam (3956) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 28, 2014
