Bringing the best of Old World East and New World West together is what makes Pawnee Pale a truly American-style pale ale. A tantalizing blend of German Perle and U.S. Pacific Northwest hops give this beer a moderate, citrus, hop quality. American, British, and caramel malts provide a rich maltiness not found in most pale ales. At 6% ABV and 42 IBU’s, Pawnee Pale is distinctly hopped, yet still carries that session beer quality you have come to expect from Mustang.

Bottle. Hoppy aroma, mostly orange zest and grass along with the hops. Definitely a nice aroma going for it. The taste is a bit more bland though. Mostly grapefruit with a bit of floral and spice to it. Not a particularly good finish, more watery than bite. Wont recommend this beer but it’s not awful, there’s just better pale ales easily available anywhere over this. 6% abv.

Golden with a white head. The aroma is a bit of grain and some biscuit malt. Flavor is similar. I get some dirty grain notes, as well as some grass and a hint of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 24, 2012
(12oz bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange, and caramel. Flavor of grass, caramel, florals, minerals, and earth with a dry finish.

bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, orange in color with no foam, aroma is sweet brown sugar, flavor of buttery sweet caramel, soft finish

(12oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear gold, wispy white bubbles. Nose of fresh citrus hops, candied orange, caramel, smells really nice. Unfortunately it doesn’t taste as good as it smells. Taste of agave, light metal, old/stale, odd beer. Light watered down finish.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a light copper with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus and florals. Taste is citrus, caramel, malt, and florals. Some hops. Decent.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - NOV 7, 2011
Clear amber color/ lasting ivory sheen. Dry earthy hop, honey biscuit aromas. Medium bodied. Nice dry earthy hop, lightly sweet pale malt flavors, drying finish--balanced easy drinking pale.

On tap at James McNellie’s OKC. Pours clear orange copper with off-white head. Decent lacing. Aromas of citrus, light hops, and caramel malts. Flavor has some citrus with light hops, caramel, and bit of bread. Kind of like a british pale ale. Average at best.

Copper blonde pour into thick, beige, foamy head that slowly dissipates into melting lacing as carbonated bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass into a lingering pool of foam. The hoppy aroma which was distinct as the cap came off the bottle gives way to hints of carmelized malt. Initial flavor of bitter hoppy citrus that slowly fades into lightly toasted caramel malted finish.

From bottle, pours a clear orange with medium frothy head. Not only has a slight scent of gym socks, it tastes like it too. Disappointed for sure, was hoping to finally find a good Mustang brew.
